8” cinder block and 3-1/2” brick wall with any problem.
I drilled the hole in my basement wall for a 3” sch.40 gas furnace vent line. I had to modify the drill to accommodate the 12” of material I needed to pass through. I had a piece of 3/8” stainless steel tubing and the drill shank fit perfectly inside the tube. I drilled a 1/8” hole through the tube and drill shank afterwards, I used a common roofing nail through the 1/8” hole to secure the bit to the tubing. I then cut out a bearing from a scrap piece of hardwood flooring to keep the drill bit centered once the first hole was cut in the cinder block. Once I started cutting the brick I gently broke out the brick circle pieces to allow clearance for the 2” capacity of the core drill. I used a DeWalt 20v cordless drill setting the clutch on 15 in case the drill bit got stuck. After all the drilling today I believe this core drill has plenty of life left.

Worked great- once
Worked great to drill a hole through a hard old brick wall. But one tooth broke off in that single job. Fortunately, that's all I needed it for. And to be fair, it might work pretty good again if needed, despite the loss of one tooth.

Does the job!
It cut a smooth hole through a stone wall. When it reached its maximum depth I chipped out the stone with a hammer and cold chisel very easily. Then, continued drilling to get through about 5 or 6 inches of stone on the exterior of our home.

Good performance for this price
Cut 14 holes 3.5" diameter through slump block with this saw.I kept it wet and took it easy and cut each hole in a couple minutes each. The last hole cut as well as the first.I used a fixture to hold the saw in place from the OD to center the holes on the blocks butthis saw started so easily I may not have needed to hold it in place to start the holes.

Scary
The shaft is too small for the size of bit...

Quality of the drill bit
I resently purchased a diamond tip core drill bit to install stair railings for my inground pool. The pavers were cut easily and cleanly during the installation process. The bit arrived quickly and I found it was high quality.
