Not a great long term solution.
Wrapped my S2000 header with this to hold down engine bay temps after installing a large splitter/tray. You need to cut several sections and use the wire to hold it on. It stunk like burning for a good 500 miles of driving but eventually settled in. It did a decent job of reducing radiant heat. Infrared readings showed a 200-300 degree farenheit reduction between the naked header and the outside of the wrap. Unfortunately after burn-in it got pretty brittle. My header ended up cracking after 2000 miles with this on it, and when I took off the header to get it welded up this stuff fell apart completely, like burnt paper. I'm going to use Eastwood's DIY internal ceramic coating solution next to see if it holds up better and doesn't promote cracking as badly.

works
Used this on my miata with an aftermarket header. It lowered the intake temps but install was a little cheesy and bit of a pain. If looking for a blanket for a miata I would probably say the extra money for a trackdog blanket is worth it.

Good Stuff installation method could be better
Good Quality but I wish the mounting methods were better but I'm not sure what would always work the best. Definitely held the header heat down at the very close oil cooler hoses!!

Instructions could use some help.
I will have to do some internet research, maybe some youtube video searches to figure out the right way to install it.

Used in conjunction with header wrap on an aftermarket turbo ...
Used in conjunction with header wrap on an aftermarket turbo manifold that wouldn't allow the use of the stock heat shield.
