Blue Dog Bakery Natural Dog Treats, Doggie Paws, Maple Bacon Flavor, 16.2oz (6 Count)

Our not-as-dumb-as-he-looks 6 YO yellow lab has developed an interesting aversion to rain. (This is a hunting dog, right?) But only in the back yard. He has been busy retraining us to take him to the front, where apparently the rain is different...and there are no fences. When we insist on the back yard, he simply won't go, and then poops on the floor after we leave. He's therefore been successfully training us to the front door for a couple months now. However...drum roll.. we got these. Now we simply take the box of Blue Dog with us to the back yard, and--so far (holding our breath)--he is running right out there and producing. Since the vote is out on who is smarter in the long run, I thought I'd write this review while we're still ahead. Good treats!

My very finicky dog loves these. Just wish they came in a larger size. She LOVED their gingerbread biscuits, which they discontinued 😭😭😭. If they started making those again and these in a regular biscuit size, she would be in heaven.Side note: many dogs are allergic to poultry. Chicken is THE most common food allergen for dogs, and is also the most common ingredient. Mine is allergic to all birds, so finding poultry-free treats is tricky. This flavor is poultry-free, as were the gingerbread, and the peanut butter flavors.

Our dogs normally love these treats. We received first box and they were several shades lighter than the normal version and didn't smell the same. Our pups hesitated, then took the treat and spit it out (never happens with these). I asked for a replacement box and they sent the same batch. The pups once again spit them out. I guess because I teceived a replacement they won't give me a refund. These treats aren't what they say they are!

I buy Blue Dog Bakery products because I trust them. Rosie's favorites are the variety box, but I need to break them up because they are too big for my little pomeranian/rat terrier mix. When I saw they make 'Paws' size, I bought them. She loves these and because my little girl is going on 8, I want her to have hard treats to keep her teeth and gums healthy. Who would think maple would be a likable flavor for a four paw family member? It must be the bacon flavor that is in it also. She brings me one of her toys and when I ask what she wants, she leads me to the canister where the Paws treats are.

I bought these because I wanted something smaller (my dogs enjoy lots of treats) and a different flavor than what they'd bee getting. My older dog (14 year old pit) won't touch them. The little dog (2 year old mixed breed) takes them and leaves them all over the house. She won't eat them. I spend lots of time picking them up and putting them in the trash. If I hadn't emptied the box into the treat jar and thrown the box away, I'd return them.

We buy other treats from this company and our dogs seem to love those... but this.. no. Not sure if they are too crunchy for our little dogs.. (12 lbs) or the taste.. There is no meat or bacon in them...maybe that's why they didn't like them?? not sure. We were able to get a refund.. thank you.The company seems to put out good products and offer good customer service. we love the made in the USA product and will try other products.

Since my dogs don't speak in English or any language I can understand, so I can only judge Blue Dog by the level of drool my 2 dogs, (1 lab, 1 corgi/lab combo) make, and it's lots of drool. The corgi one also does some extra spins. She pretty much loses her mind. The lab is a little too old to spin, so she just drools in anticipation. Time to get out the mop!

Our dogs love Blue Dog treats but for whatever reason these are a reluctant treat. They smell fine and appear to be the same quality but they are eaten begrudgingly even after trying a second box. They are a smaller sized treat, which I was going for, and would be ideal for trick training but these tidbits just don't cut it for my babies.
