The opening paragraph of Bill DeYoung s liner notes to this reissue says it best: A blistering, balls-to-the-wall audio snapshot of one of southern rock s great boogie bands in its prime, Black Oak Arkansas Raunch N Roll Live has lost none of its visceral thrust, more than three decades after it humped its way into record stores as a seven-song vinyl LP. And now, with the re-release of this 2-CD set previously only available as a long sold-out limited edition you get three times the raunch! That s because like most live albums the actual release was drawn from several shows, in this case a 12/1/72 show at the Paramount Theater in Portland and a 12/2/72 show at Seattle s like-named Paramount Theater. The Complete Raunch N Roll Live presents both concerts in their entirety, featuring 17 tracks that weren t on the original release and including some tunes Fever on My Mind, Uncle Lijiah, Keep the Faith, Lord Have Mercy on My Soul, Full Moon Ride Dixie, and Movin that didn t appear in any version. A double, make that triple, dose of one of the great live bands of the 70s, and further proof of the unhinged brilliance of frontman Jim Mangrum.

Black Oak Arkansas The Complete Raunch 'N' Roll Live
Back in the day, I went to more black oak arkansas concerts than any other concerts. The energy that they had while performing live was contagious. They were truly ahead of their time, and many bands after them I think were influenced by their style of music. This is one of my favorite cd's.

Another great live album from the best of the real Rockn' Roll Era [60's thru mid to late 70's] This was just another LP I had several copies of because I wore it out on a bad turn table.

True showing of their live sound
I saw these guys live back around the time this came out, there were great and the release reflects what their live show was like. They are one of those good rock and roll bands. One of those Southern rock bands a great band live.

Live-Klassiker

So richtig schlecht
Leider!

Forget the official live albums as I've heard better quality bootleg recordings of BOA
Had this on import vinyl when it was first released and although I didn't realise it then...."the sound quality is utter crap".It's a pity that both "live mutha" and this are on the same quality rating. And I really don't want to hear people attacking me saying " think about its age"...there are live recordings from the 60's that put this to shame.Forget the official live albums as I've heard better quality bootleg recordings of BOA.
