Rattleware espresso cups
Love the cups. Very durable, can see measurements of liquid on glass & spout on each side for easy pouring. You can feel the quality of the glass.

The markings are not even close to accurate
Not really why I bought it but what's the point of having them if they're not even close? The glass is plenty thick and the spouts help make pouring espresso into mugs/cups a clean process.

Well built and accurate
The media could not be loaded. The video pretty much says it all. I measured out (almost exactly) 1 oz on my scale and it came right to the 1oz mark. I then used a Starbucks shot glass that I had to pour that same amount of water in, and it also came to the 1oz mark so now two points of triangulation. Then I poured the same water back in the Rattlewear glass and then changed the measurements to grams and the 1.02oz came to exactly 28.9 grams. One thing that knock-off glass reviewers complain about is that the markings are not positioned correctly or they wash off. The description on this says "etched". It was hard for me to tell if it was indeed etched, but I tried to scratch some of the logo off with my thumb nail and I couldn't. If the markings wear off I'll update this review.

Nice for your espresso machine.
I use this shot glass just about every day for my Vetrano 2b espresso machine. I highly recommend it if you are using shot glasses to measure the volume of espresso. It's much easier than using two separate 1 oz shot glasses. I have tried to not use a measuring cup in the past, and I have found with my non-volumetric espresso machine that this is a bad idea. The glass is just wide enough to catch both streams of espresso in this one cup. If your espresso is pulling too fast (like 10 second shots), then the streams will extend too far out and will spill. As you can see by the pictures, a proper pulled shot that takes about 30 seconds will fit nicely. I do find that I sometimes spill a little in the beginning since it's hard to align exactly before the espresso is pulling. The picture makes it look easy because the camera is only a few inches away. The small handle is nice so that you can position the cup without scorching your hand. Also if you leave the espresso shot in there for a few min, the glass will be too hot to hold, but the handle will remain cool.If you try to pour hot water, it will spill outside since the streams will be wider. You can still pour water in there by just holding the cup up and directly contacting the spouts. I do this to warm the glass. You can also warm the glass by using the water from the steam spout, but I don't usually need to do this.I read that someone had trouble with the glass cracking with hot water. That must have been a manufacturer defect or damage during delivery. I have used this cup more than 600 times (twice a day for a year) and it has not broken. This includes occasional hot steam water, espresso, and usual cleaning. I usually try to clean it with hot water to avoid extreme thermal stress, but I have cleaned the hot glass with cold water and it has not cracked yet.

Useful device
I use it for checking the espresso condition. Alse for making hazernut-latte, to mix hazelnut chocolate and espresso.

I'm in love with a glass?!?!
I purchased this glass to measure and melt butter. It's perfect for me. The niched handle makes it easy to use!

If only it was a little larger
It is smaller than the pictures, and it holds max 3 ounces. I would have preferred one that holds 4 or 5 ounces, and one that had a larger opening; hence 4 stars.Measurements: It is 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) tall. The opening at the top of the shot glass (all of these are inside measurements) is 2" in diameter (5 cm), and is 2 5/8 inches (66 mm) across the spouts. I've used a ruler for all of these measurements. The glass is thick, about 3/16" or about 4mm thick. This is good.In use, for my device -- the Breville Barrista Express -- it is almost the right size, but it fills to the top when I produce a 2 ounce shot because of the foam. I have to watch it closely so that the coffee won't miss the shot glass. Thus I would have preferred if it was maybe 1/2" or 15mm wider and held 3 or 4 ounces. Oh well. I might find something to raise it closer to the bottom of the portafilter so it'll have a better chance to catch all the coffee that's espressed.I hope the measurements are helpful -- I know I would have wanted this information before I made the purchase.(Update January 2016. I originally graded this a 4 star instead of a 5-star because the listing lacked the dimensions that I've added above. However I use the one I purchased daily to lift another cup closer to the portafilter as it works quite well as a support. I've also used it to measure small liquid amounts. So I'm changing this to a 5-star review based on my two-year's experience with it.)

This is a great tool for pulling espresso shots
This is a great tool for pulling espresso shots, in order to get things dialed in and see if you are getting the right volume. I have only used it with a bottomless portafilter, but it appears wide enough to be used under a double sprout portafilter also.

great glass works well for espresso
great glass works well for espresso, is not dishwasher safe, logos and measurements will ware off in dishwasher, rendering this not as useful, spouts are great for pouring and is nice to see espresso in glass as it is brewed.
