Very Nice for the $$
This is my second Seiko watch in my lifetime. The first I lost forty years ago to the bottom of a creek during a canoeing trip. Since then, I've owned a countless number of Timex's (nothing wrong with them), but the only dressy time watches they make have elastic bands, which pull on arm hair, or leather straps which I don't really care for. I also owned an Elgin, but it eats through batteries almost as fast as I can put them in.I kept looking at the Seiko's on Amazon and was drawn to this one for its simplicity and its nice appearance. I also like the fact it has luminous hands. But the biggest feature I was interested in was the solar charge feature. No more batteries to replace for a while. When I received the watch, almost immediately after I removed it from the box, the second hand was off to the races. It was simple to set the month, day, & time and afterwards, I left it under my bright lamp to charge the battery. So far, it keeps excellent time and hasn't varied off my cell phone tower's time any at all.The biggest challenge I had was removing the links from the band to fit my wrist, but with the proper tools it isn't too difficult. I do like the fold-over clasp band because it doesn't pull the hair on my arms at all.Very nice watch for the price. I look forward to having it for many years to come. I just won't take it on any canoe trips!

Buy it - you won't be disappointed. Five stars!
Seiko Men's SNE032 Two-Tone Stainless Steel Solar Watch - I've had my Seiko watch about two months and I love it. This is my first solar watch, so I was a bit skeptical as to how long it would take to charge it and how long it would continue to run without sunlight or a light source to charge it. I held a flashlight to it for two minutes and it began ticking. I wore it for two days, held a flashlight to it four times x 2 minutes, then took it off and left it in the dark for two weeks. After two weeks, it was still ticking and the time was right-on. Now that I trust the solar battery, I wear it 24/7. I'm not afraid of getting it wet and often dip it in the water for a short time when cleaning the pool. Looks as nice as the more expensive competitors, at a lower price. Buy it - you won't be disappointed. I'm happy with my Seiko. Five stars!

Equal Opportunity Watch! Great Watch for Lady who likes BOLD jewelry!
Fabulous Watch. I am very selective about any accessory I wear all the time! I love mixed metal watches for the versatility! This watch with a white face and great display for the day and date is so easy to read. I can check the time so discreetly! The fact that this is solar powered is so wonderful. I took this watch to my watch guy to adjust the band and it was great to know that I am not going back for a new battery! Seiko watches have always been dependable. Wonderful gift from husband who is a watch guru!Follow up! I have worn this watch every day for 4 years. No problems and easy to read. I am considering a man's tank watch from Seiko that is also solar powered. But this watch will continue to be my work horse watch!6 years and counting! No batteries to replace!

Excellent Watch
Excellent, stylish, dependable watch. I had no problem with charging it and I really like the solar aspect of it! The reason I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5 Stars is the watchband which cost me $10. to have resized by a jeweler locally. In the end, it's a great watch at a great price though.

looks great, keeps exact time
This watch is just what I wanted; not expensive, looks great, keeps exact time, and doesn't require battery replacement. I was a little reluctant to order it at first. I usually check the lowest star ratings of an item before I decide to order, found that the major problems were: doesn't keep correct time, battery charging doesn't work, and bracelet doesn't fit. I found that reading the furnished instructions solved all but the bracelet sizing. The bracelet was too large for me so went on the internet and searched for 'sizing the bracelet.' There are many how to available, the most up to date one I found included pictures of each action and involved using a paper clip and needle nosed pliers. The watch comes not ready to simply wind it and wear it and it will keep correct time, the solar battery must be charged, a chart, of with what light sources and time to fully charge, is included.I had, but lost, an exact quartz model of this watch for over 20 years, it kept perfect time but required many battery replacements plus extra charges over the years which should not be required with this watch.

Elegant Traditional Looks, Superb Quality, Dependable Durability
This is a sleek, clean, beautiful time instrument, equally at home on my job and in social settings, be they casual, business, or formal. Unlike cheaper watches, the mechanism is of very high craftsmanship, issuing NO NOISE as the hands sweep across the astonishingly clear crystal face. I'm surprised at how it has resisted any signs of scratching, even though I use it daily on the job as a peace officer. The band is supremely comfortable, and so far its durability is beyond reproach. To put it simply, I believe that Seiko watches represent the best quality/price point available on the market today. Quality, durability, affordability. My old Seiko watch lasted me over five years on the job before I had to retire it for this one, and it's still ticking away (silently) in my sock drawer on its original battery!

Excellent value, easy to read the time, great band
I have had Seiko watches for 30 years, and always found them reliable. Since I disliked running out of battery, I was delighted when Seiko introduced solar charged watches, and bought a handsome black-faced watch with an expandable band. I loved the solar mechanism, and found it kept truly excellent time; never having to change a battery was a great relief. However, I found it difficult for my ageing eyes in gloomy light, and I ruined two bands when they caught on things. I bought this watch hoping it would be easier to see the time, and because its band would escape the problems I had had. So far it has fulfilled both hopes. Moreover, the solar movement is again keeping perfect time. I see this handsome watch that works so well as truly excellent value.
