GREAT BARRIER Car Windshield Sunshade Made for Australian Outback, Foldable Tough Sun Shield Protector for Car, SUV, Truck & Van (Large 60'' X 32'')

I realized I bought these and long time ago and I use them all the time and they still work great and in great condition. It’s been 6 years and they still work great. I would recommend these if your looking to keep your car insides out of sun.

These are for my 2003 MBZ ML500, and the shades fit GREAT. However, the dash and interior temps were warmer than I expected them to be. I thought the outside material would be more reflective and / or act as a heat blocker, but it appears to be just a color, not a reflective coating of some sort.That being said, the shades covered 100% of my windshield including the corners, stay in place great, and came with a pair of "wide view" mirrors - that I have no use for, but it shows customer care. It also comes with a great warranty and/or money back guarantee, so if you don't like them, you can get a refund and look for something better.However they do block the direct sunlight, which is what my main goal is - to block the UV from destroying my dashboard and interior, they fit great, they still are a shade of some sort, and they are cheap, thus I will be keeping my pair. For the money, I think they are at least a 4 out of 5.Note: My car is black, with a black interior. I know that is a big factor in my interior temps and I was not expecting miracles, just hoped it would help a little more than it did. Maybe if the maker can add a little reflective coating on the outside to make the shades a little better, I will happily buy another few pairs for all my cars.

This a great company with an excellent product. I first bought (what was at the time) the largest of Outback's sunshades, only to find that it wasn't quite big enough for my 2014 Honda CRV. I contacted the company about a return, and got a quick response (i believe from the owner) -- so sorry about the problem, don't worry about returning it, give it to a friend if you like; also, we're designing a bigger version that should fit your CRV; would you like one -- free of charge -- when they're ready? Of course I told them yes, but wasn't standing on one foot waiting to hear from them again. Well they were as good as their word. reaching out a few weeks ago to tell me that the shade was ready and asking to confirm that I still wanted it. It came very quickly, fits my windshield well, and is easy to twist into a compact size and stow away. And while the shade is excellent, I was even more impressed at the communication, follow-through and professionalism shown by this company. Good on Outback -- I see good things in their future!

Originally, I was looking to buy this type of shade, but the ones that come with two individual rectangular shades that you kind of mush together and in general, are very versatile. I saw that this brand had the two circular shaped shades connected with a flappy bit that can facilitate overlap as well as coverage. I like the quality and function of this shade, it isn't difficult to fold and stow and it seems to block out 95% of sunlight from hitting my dashboard. I chose the size that corresponded with the measurements of my windshield but it is a couple inches short from top to bottom (height) and I have to fuss with the visors a bit more than I would like, but I get it to stay put. Width-wise, it's very generous and it compensates well for vehicles that are a bit less wide across the glass area. I bought the large (for a Ford Fusion) and as I said, it fell short on the fit, so four stars!Update 10/22/2015 - Tim at Outback Shades sent me a free replacement in a larger size that fits perfectly. I've upgraded my review to five stars.

Well I had this windshield shade for about a month. I am using it on a 2016 Camry.1. A 95% fit. It is ~slightly~ not high enough ( height = dash board to the top of the windshield) It is just short enough that you have to futz with it to keep it in place. That means putting down the sun visors to keep it in place.2. While the shield is in place, I cannot with any high degree of confidence, know that is is blocking all of the UV rays ; I mention this because my dashboard is hot; I'd think if most ( even 80% of the rays are blocked) the dash would not be as hot. Since I am not a NASA employee I could be 150% wrong.3. the shade has been re-assigned to my back window. Since I live in S. California there's sun all the time and protecting the back deck is important to me as it can dry out the deck and the head rests.4. I like the ~look~ yet am a little disappointed on the fit so, I am off to look again for the right one.5. Oh, it folds up just fine if that is important to you as a ~ feature~.

Used for a 2019 Toyota Sienna. Does not cover windshield, as several inches of the edges are soft material which fold under or over the metal rim (which does not go to the edge of the shade), making it very difficult to not only cover whole windshield, but also stay in place. Visors don't help, as the soft edges don't stay in place, due to metal rim not being large enough.UPDATE: Seller completed refund since I was unable to use item. I appreciated the gesture.The older version of this exact sun shade, has metal which goes to the edge of the shade, covering the entire windshield and stays in place beautifully.If you need the entire surface of this shade, order something else that is larger and will stay in place.

From husband Dan: We bought three of these, two for her Jetta (front and rear windshields) and my GMC truck. It works great for the GMC and fits nicely. The front windshield on the Jetta, still fits fairly well though there is quite a large area around the rear view mirror that is left unprotected. These shades are big and awkward for the rear windshield but we still make it work. Overall, I think these are a pretty great value. The reflective side of these shades isn't as reflective as I think they should be for maximum heat deflection, but if you're looking for a cheap way to keep your car a few degrees cooler and the sun off your black leather seats (like we were), then you can't beat these.

Lets light through unlike others. Prefer some of the basic others.

As another reviewer pointed out this product has an absolutely terrible chemical smell. It really is quite nauseating and I could feel my life shortening with every breath. It gave me a bad headache within a minute of opening the packaging and I had to rush the item outside and open the windows in my house to try and get rid of the smell. It's currently hanging in my shed to hopefully air it out and get rid of that awful smell. If that doesn't do the trick I'll be returning it as not fit for purpose. I'm wondering if this product is actually safe to use?

Did not cool the car as well as l thought it would

Good product but smells for ages.Keeps falling off in Mercedes E class. Hooks would solve problem.
