Works well
Simple, reusable and works well. Cuts tape quickly and cleanly. Just be careful, it could cut fingers too if you’re not paying attention. It’s basically a razor blade that you push down on to cut the tape.Not complaining, worked well for quickly securing packages for moving.

This sent me to the emergency room. It's not a safe design.
I assumed this would be like a normal tape cutter, but the blade is basically a razor pointing out. If you get your finger in the wrong spot it will lever the blade into it.When the tape jammed, I was attempting to clear it and the blade pushed into my finger and left a very deep wide cut. I had to go to the ER to stop the bleeding.If they determined this was the best way to cut, the device needed more protection around the cutting zone. Instead, it's fairly exposed.I've used other tape cutters which were not dangerous. There's no reason to get this one.

I’m a professional painter, we use masking tape maybe once a week. This allowed a smooth run around the roll of tape and cuts clean lines.

Cuts well but doesn't keep feeding tape between cuts
Annoying to have to move the cutter and pull a new strip off tape after every cut.

Dangerous design & does not cut grid tape
You're basically buying a razor blade on a spring. There is no locking mechanism to keep the blade from being exposed accidentally, nor is there any protective cover over the edge of the blade. I sliced my finger open pulling this from the package.Adding insult to injury, it doesn't cut through grid tape used to cover borders for drop ceilings. I really wanted something that would help easily cut perfectly square strips of grid tape, but this just puts a dent in the tape before the thin plastic gives way to the pressure.

Works well but attachment is awkward.
It cuts tough tape easily. How it attaches to the roll seems a little dicey. That’s why it has a 4 star rating.
