It's a Mod, not just an Accessory to hold your guitar while you play
The right strap is one of the most overlooked upgrades or mods for guitars when making them yours. I prefer Fender Stratocasters and I have a very old one that I retired and a brand new one I've been modifying since the day I got it "off the rack." After I had put in the specific pickups that I always wanted (my other Strat was too old to tinker with in my mind and already sounded amazing to my ear), and made a few other changes including a pearl pickguard and some electronics mods - including copper-shielding the cavity and pickguard, I broke out the sandpaper and subtly customized the shape of the back of the neck (I've never found a perfect neck for my hands coming from Fender). After that, a professional guitar tech friend set up the neck to suit my style of playing. Once the guitar sounded and felt like mine, I turned to the strap. I had been shopping through the "retro" straps for months and decided on this Hendrix-at-Woodstock design match. It is sold by other companies that perhaps make a slightly heavier duty, more substantial and better padded strap, but they want 5-10 times the price of the D'Andrea. If you are planning to try different designs like I was until you find the right one for you, there is no better choice than the D'Andrea (they also make my favorite picks). For the price of one of the other brands, you can try several different designs and see which one works for you. I've been using mine for months on my new Strat and it looks great and fits my sense of style. If I have anything negative to say about the design, then it would be the use of metal rivets (though stronger than plastic or glue). At the back of the strap on the inside, where it is likely to come into contact with the guitar, I put small squares of black electrical tape to prevent potential scratching of the finish on the wood - even the hard polyurethane on mine. I also recommend adding thick rubber rings as strap locks that are also sold on Amazon (and in any hardware store) once you put the strap on the guitar. Though the fit alone is snug, I don't trust the strap to stay on as well after time has worn the openings. I'm being precautionary, but my guitars are worth more than just the money I paid for them.

Iconic
This is the same strap worn and used by two icons: Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley. Check out photos and/or video of Jimi at Woodstock and Elvis doing Trouble Guitar Man at the beginning of the 1968 NBC Comeback Special. Same strap. Now why are you hesitating?

Great vintage style strap!
This is one of the nicest guitar straps I have ever tried. It’s not too short like some of the reviews say. It’s exactly like the vintage one I bought off Reverb.com for $120.00. Not to mention all of the materials are new. If you’re thinking of buying one do it. Well worth the money. I bought two!

Awesome, but a little short.
This is a really cool strap, I love how it's made almost exactly like an old Ace. Only complaint is that it is a little too short. If you're a bigger person, bear this in mind.

Great strap and looks great!
My most favorite strap!! Still new which is why I gave a 4 out of 5. Its pretty sturdy so far but it's new so we have to see in time.

Long live vintage
Super badass strap. I have an original ace strap from the 60s and this one is damn near the same construction and definitely has the same vibe.

Close but not a perfect remake!
Nice version of the original Ace strap but not a perfect remake. I have a few of the original Ace straps and now have 3 of the D'Andrea remakes. The original Ace stained glass strap had a brown or black plastic backing, white leather ends and either blue or red as the dominant pattern color. The new D'Andrea remake has a white plastic back (which actually looks better color-wise compared to the original) but it wrongly has black leather ends as opposed to the white leather ends on the original. What happened to the white leather ends? That was one of the things that made this particular strap so cool looking! Something else I've also noticed with the new D'Andrea Ace remakes is that they are all 2 to 4 inches shorter than the original Ace straps. This shouldn't be a problem unless you're very tall. It does however mean that the strap buckle on the D'Andrea straps are much closer to the end of the strap than they were on the original Ace straps. There is also a noticable white thread running down the middle of the D'Andrea strap when compared to the original Ace which either had no thread down the middle or a less noticeable black thread down the middle. Question: If you are going to copy a famous, iconic guitar strap, why not get all the details correct? Overall, I guess a good job considering the price but irritating that it's not a perfect copy.

Ottima

Perfect
The quality is just wow. It’s the second Andrea ace strap I buy (already have the boho red) and it’s as equally amazing.

Nice replica of the straps of yore
Nice replica of the straps of yore. For some reason, this one was a bit shorter than the other two (Stained Glass / Rooftop) straps I ordered. The Greenwich pattern strap can be seen on the front cover of "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. 2," and the rear front cover of Derek and the Dominos "Layla" album.
