Just received my asat 3d today, 2 days earlier than expected (props go to Amazon). Having not been able to put my hands on this before I ordered, i really had no idea what to expect. I had came across this product a few weeks ago and did my homework. I am not the type of guy who enjoys shopping or spending money and always end up with buyers remorse, so it took me a few weeks of research and a lot of talking myself up to finally decide to give up $117 (which was gut wrenching).First off, when I received the product, I couldn't believe how light it is, weighs as much as my flask. There is a few negative reviews saying that they didn't like the product because of this. In my opinion, this is not to be considered clothing. Would you complain your face paint doesn't help keep you warm? This product does however allow plenty of room to layer underneath and although i wouldn't hunt this way, i can fit my snowboard gear underneath and it's still comfortable. And yes is very comfortable with just shorts and t-shirt. This system is meant to be worn over whatever you wear hunting and it's light enough to know it's not there, allowing more options.10 stars in my opinion. Next I am impressed at the integrity of the product. everything is double stitched, and the meshing underneath seems very durable. Within seconds I had the thing on and sneaking around the house. It is QUIET. I read some reviews where they recommend washing a few times to get the stiffness out, but i (other than getting the scent out) see no reason to do so. It move well with the wearer, flexes like it's nothing and there is not even a hint of swooshing in the legs. This thing is as quiet as you are and again, it's as if it's not even there. 10 stars in my opinion. The last thing I have any room to speak of (since i haven't hunted in it yet) is the meshing itself. Again i through it on and played ninja for an hour and one thing i wanted to be sure of was snagging. I walked through the back woods of my house, which has just about everything I will encounter where i hunt. Brush, trees, stickers you know things that are in the woods. The only things that snagged was the stickers, but they snag on my bdu's, legs and arms just the same. There doesn't seem to be any cause for alarm stalking through thick forest in these. Maybe an occasional branch might upset me but that happens even when i'm just hiking in the woods and a branch catches my shirt. I read somewhere that someone was concerned it might catch on barb wire when he crosses a fence - well if it's his fence he should know his property enough to know a way around, and if it's not chances are you shouldn't be there in the first place and last barb wire will catch and tear ANYTHING!I was so nervous spending the money for an unknown product and even thought about cancelling my order a few times but i can honestly say that I believe this will prove itself worth the money. It is nothing more than what it is, a system that is light, allows the need for just one set of camo, and is quiet and durable enough to allow you to stalk your prey (the only way I hunt). If you're on the fence about this, do your homework and look at some testimonials and pictures. Hardly any negative reviews and the one that do exist are from people who don't seem to understand what they are buying. So here is 2 negatives on my end. The hood could be longer on the back side to help cover up the neck area should it happen to shift up and it has draw string holes around the waist but no string to pull tight around the waist. Don't know why it's there if there is no string. Other than that - I couldn't be happier

The sizes run small on the pants.
These are what I wanted but the pants run small. I sent them back and ordered the largest size so I could wear the top over a coat (5’11” 225lb.). Amazon didn’t have the largest size so I had to order them elsewhere.

As close to adaptive camo as you'll get for this price.
First...I only gave 4 stars because on the ASAT website, they say this suit has a zippered fly but the suit i was sold must have been an older model because it does not have that feature. It would have been nice to have, but its not a deal breaker. Just a minor gripe. Maybe a little more detail in the product description could have avoided that let down. Now, on to the good stuff. The suit itself is well made and the long zippers on the legs make getting the pants on over boots a breeze. Keep in mind that the base fabric all the "leaves" are sewn to is mesh, it wont last forever, but it seems to be as tough a mesh as you could ask for in a garment of this type. I can see getting at least four or five seasons out of it as long as i dont abuse it. The mesh makes this a very versitile suit that can be worn over virtually anything. It works as well over street cloths as it does over bulky insulating layers or rain gear. It is cut big to allow for it to fit over anything you can think of. For warm days during turkey season and early bow season, it works just as well over a t-shirt and shorts. Just keep in mind that the suit is mesh so leave the loud colors at home, they will show through to some degree. Undergarments in muted colors work best...tans, greys, browns, greens, blacks, other camo clothing, even darker jeans work just fine. Truely a versitile all season suit in design. Now, about the ASAT camo pattern itself.....Your first impression will likely be that its way to light in color and better suited to a dry arid environment than the lush green turkey woods. Its not a camo pattern for your eyes, rather a camo pattern for the way an animal sees its environment. The tan in the suit which is so prevalant actually picks up shades of color from your surroundings. If you are in a lush green environment, the tan seems to change to a much more greenish tan color which blends extremely well. I dont really understand how that happens, it just does. I must admit that i was skeptical when i first unpacked the box. Since nothing was in season yet, i went out into the woods just to scout around a bit and see what i could see. Any hesitation i had about the pattern quickly vanished once in the woods. I've never had so many animals look right through me. Squirrels, birds, and a deer all noticed my movement, but once i stopped, they literally couldnt focus on me and went right back to what they were doing. I'd move some more and they would look my direction, but once i stopped they could not train their eyes on me at all. I sat for a while and the deer moved along through the woods till he was less than 15 feet from me! He looked right at me many times but each time it was like he was looking through me as if there was something off in the distance and i just happened to be in his line of sight. Imagine his surprise when i finally moved and spooked him at 10 feet. I think he jumped a good three feet straight up! Bottom line....this stuff works. It isnt a pattern that attracts hunters on the clothing rack, but its the best ive ever come across for the animals in the woods. Go to the ASAT website if you dont beleive it, they have lots of photos in different environments and lots of testimonials and user photos. It is the most versitile peice of camo i own. It stays in a small stuff sack behind the seat in my truck and is always ready when i need it. I may buy another suit or two for back ups in case i damage the one i currently have. I wont go into the woods, any woods, without ASAT from now on. Its just too good to NOT use the stuff.

Fit
Ordered a medium. Jacket fits decent but pants are way way too long. Inseam has got to be 38". Won't stay rolled up because of zipper. Be careful where you walk as well. Thin mesh with rip very easily on any kind of brush or briars.
