So far so good with these cutters. They are substantial and made from solid metal. No plastic hinges or parts. They also arrived very sharp and were used the day I took them out of the package. So far they have kept their edge pretty well. No complaints so far.

Bonsai, nice if you do it!

Works great. Able to prune what i needed without completely stopping the growth in that branch. Little worried it took longer than I thought for the sprout to come back.

After using for a short time, cutting blades starting to be misaligned. Better to buy a more quality product. Cheap.

Given the price of tools, these are a fair deal. Finish is generally OK, though the edge fit is a tad off and sharpness is not great. They do work, and are specialty tools at about the price of ordinary slip-joint pliers. My main complaint is with pre-shipment storage/handling: mine came with superficial rust despite all the oil, especially on the most sensitive sharpened surfaces. I may try dressing the cutting edges with a whetstone, but it's easy to damage these complicated curves beyond repair. Meanwhile, they do work and are comfortable to handle, even if they don't make as easy or clean a cut as one might wish.

These arrived quickly, were well oiled and nice and heavy. I love that they are small and make it easy on the hands. They should last for years to come!

I have learned to take better care of my metal tools for horse hoof care and keep these little gems in a wooden box wrapped in an oily cloth. They are a little stiff at first but the oil has loosened them perfectly and they look better than new if I keep them wiped off and oiled. For the hooves, it makes nipping off peri-opal tid-bits and frog flaps or any awkward places very accessible and the smallness for your one handed work is so simple and neat! I feel it was a bargain investment for my tool box and especially use the angled one on every horse I trim!

Where I live bonsai tools are hard to find. These tools are well built and will last a lifetime with a little care. Anyone who enjoys their Bonsai's know these tools are a must have! I am very pleased...money well spent!
