This tool is awesome! Before I would spend 5-10 minutes peeling each garlic clove and - with a paring knife, eek! - choping the garlic into small chunks and squishing each chunk with the sides of the knife. It was tedious...Plus I'm new to cooking on my own so I didn't realize there were things like garlic presses. I've been stocking my kitchen with pots and necessities using Amazon and they recommended this item in my account.I'm in heaven now! No more settling for weird garlic chucks in my soups and sauces because I got tired of the "mincing by knife proces" halfway through. This is perfect. I hand washed before use and now I just rinse under hot water when I'm done.I was kinda hoping it would also mince spices because I spend a lot of time mincing basil and such but no dice... The leaves aren't firm enough to push through this tool. But garlic gets minced without problem. If anyone knows of a great gadget for spice mincing please comment! I would greatly appreciate it. I have a farm stand near my house that sells the absolute largest cloves of garlic I have ever seen. These things are enormous. So enormous that I snapped a dollar store plastic garlic press in half on one while I was trying to make chili. I bought this as a replacement, figuring that metal would be harder to break. I love the weight of it, and it does a wonderful job with the big, monster cloves. It's also super easy to clean.

I have learned all the health benefits of eating garlic, so many of the recipes I make now include garlic. However, mincing or thinly slicing garlic(like in the classic movie "Goodfellas" is time consuming! I purchased the garlic press about a month ago and it works wonderfully! It's also very easy to clean, and extremely sturdy. I am very happy with my purchase!

The Garlic Press was a birthday gift for my son. He called upon receiving it and is pleased as it was exactly what he was looking for in a garlic press. . He has used it several times and says it’s great, easy to use and easy to clean.

This is a well designed, sturdy piece of kitchen equipment - a garlic press that is easy to clean, easy to handle (good shape) and works well. My old one was pot metal and impossible to clean. This one is stainless steel and looks great.

Love it. This garlic press works like a charm. I have had others in the past that were not worth a hoot. It is very well constructed.I use it every day to make my salad dressing. No more dicing and sticky fingers.
