Worked great for spring pool prep.
Filled my pool from the well this month. The water was brown. Couldn't even see the 2nd step of the pool. The 2nd day the brown became a green. Put two cups of Cutrine Plus in the deep end. Two days later it went back to brown. It took 5 days of cleaning the filter 2x a day but the pool was crystal clear day 6. No algae in the (new) filter. As ppl who do their own pools know algae in the filter drastically reduces the filter's efficiency reducing the time between necessary cleanings. Algae in the filter was my biggest concern.I let the pool go for another week with high chlorine and algaecide levels to clean the tannin stains and scum lines accumulated during the winter when it was drained. The levels of chlorine and algaecide reduced over time and filter cleanings. I declared it ready and the Ex came over and collected a bottle of pool water to have it tested. It tested 'perfect' at the local pool supply store and she was complimented on how clean the water was.IMO this is good stuff for spring pool startup. Since it's not specified for swimming pools I'm sticking with In the Swim's pool algaecide during swimming season. They're both copper-based but....

Well worth the cost and effort
Added the entire gallon to 14 gallons in my sprayer. From the shore, sprayed broadcast style over lots of existing algae and the remainder of a 1/2 acre of my one acre pond. The next day all of the algae was gone in the sprayed 1/2 and most of the un-sprayed in the other half. Was totally shocked it worked so quick as it's taken several days in the past when I used a copper sulfate granule solution. I sprayed in 80 deg heat, sunny day, early morning with some wind. The was blowing toward the un-sprayed area and I suspect that's why it killed most of the algae there also.I have a ton of bass and bluegill so I only do half at a time as the dead/ decaying algae uses up oxygen from the water. I run the aerator pump constantly also. After 3 days there has been no ill effect on the fish. Great stuff.

Good stuff works good
Worked good for clearing up small ponds but it doesn't go very far on large ponds.

Has been keeping my pond clear for 20 years. I use 1 gallon 2 times a year.
