Love it!
I had been eyeing this unit for a while, but I finally took the plunge and purchased. I'm really glad I did, because this bar is gorgeous and perfect for my house! It is super roomy, with space for my glass wares, bar tools, liquors, and more, and the top of it is the perfect height for mixing or pouring (bar mat and cat sold separately!!)It had minor dings on arrival, hardly concerning when it is sent via mail, but nothing noticeable enough to detract the quality. The particleboard is surprisingly heavy duty and looks and feels great, and it has no wobble at all.Assembly was reasonably easy, but you will absolutely want 2 people for it. The pieces are heavy and not designed to clumsily flop together.Overall, I love this unit and I highly suggest it for a sleek bar cabinet.Update: I've had this about a year and a half and it has endured a move and is still going strong! Took a marginal beating in the process but didn't lose integrity or get any chips and scratches. Great unit!

Great Looking Liquor Cabinet
I bought this liquor cabinet well knowing that previous purchasers noted how long it took to put together, but still purchased it because I thought it looked great, suited our needs and was at a decent price.Previous reviewers are correct. I put together furniture fairly frequently from beds to TV stands and have purchased stuff from IKEA, which is known for the number of parts and complicated instructions. The assembly wasn't difficult, but it is time consuming. My girlfriend laid all the various parts out and it took me 3 hours by myself to put it together. There are a lot of screws, bolts, nuts and nails. The manufacturer did their best to make inserting these fairly easily and I have to give it to them for some of their ingenious connectors. The pullout drawer had some misaligned drill holes which when I initially assembled made the drawer not close properly, but I pulled it apart and after 15 minutes of reassembling got it aligned. Nothing major, but shoddy craftsmanship.Overall I would recommend it as it does look great and it is a good value for what you get. Just be forewarned if you do purchase it, be ready to take some time to assemble it.

Great Product! Horrible logistics
This is a great piece of furniture. I can tell a lot of love went into it's design and it looks great while staying small enough for my apartment with plenty of cabinet space to run a small bar. The finish is a really nice color (gray maple) that works well with other woods. However, UPS destroyed my first product and on arrival the box was open, taped in an attempt to cover up damage, and 9 pieces were dented or scratched. I contacted the manufacturer, South Shore, directly and spoke with the manager about how horrible UPS handled my delivery. They were a great help and just shipped me an entire new unit no questions asked which also arrived just as fast as Amazon!I don't want to drop my rating due to the logistics not being the seller's fault. I can tell they put as much effort as they could into packaging the product properly and the one shipped directly from their DC was immaculate.I recommend browsing their site buying directly from them to avoid logistics issues like numerous reviews have reported with Amazon.

Don’t buy! Huge pain in the ass to build.
Building this thing was a huge pain in the ass! The directions are super vague. It doesn’t bother to label a finished side or an unfinished side, so sometimes we would screw something together and then realize down the road that it was backwards. About an hour into our build, we noticed that one of the boards didn’t have any of the pre fabricated holes for “easy” set-up. So we had to call the company and they took about a week to ship the right board, which sucks considering I bought the cabinet through Amazon Prime. Then the very top piece has no unfinished side, so we really couldn’t tell which way it went so when we went to attach the wine glass holders, we realized the holes were on the wrong side. On top of that, the wine glass holders don’t even fit a standard size glass... so we didn’t even put them in because they are useless. And to make matters worse, the pre-fabricated holes for the big drawer was in the wrong spots... the drawer would’ve stuck out by about 2 inches... we just eye-balled it and drilled our own holes... it’s still not perfect, you can see in the picture that the drawer sinks in too much...There were several times that my boyfriend gave up and said we would just return it. Even now that it’s done, we are still thinking about returning it. I spent $250 on this cabinet and it was a huge pain in the ass. Not worth the trouble. At least if the directions were clearer and bothered to describe the finished sides or even the cabinet hardware then it might be worth it.

Aesthetically pleasing, but a chore to assemble
This bar is convenient in terms of storage it allows and it does look nice from an aesthetic perspective, however it is nearly impossible to line up the doors so that you don't see the obvious blemishes in terms of how the parts don't really align perfectly. The instructions are also tedious to decipher and with the amount of small parts this is a headache to put together. The larger pull out drawer also does not come to a complete close when pushed in as it goes to soft close and then lingers and needs to be pushed in a second time. Product also came with nicks and chips that is typically associated with particle board based furniture.

Been wanting a wine bar for a long time, and this hits the spot!
I absolutely love this thing. I have been wanting a bar for a long time, and when this came along, it was at the right price, and made in Canada, so I jumped on it!The package came about 1 week early, so no complaints there, but boy was it heavy! Guess it was due to the good quality Canadian wood...When I opened the box, I saw the other reason for the weight - so many pieces! Man, it was like a puzzle. I have read some other reviews mentioning this, but I still wasn't ready for all that. All that being said, the assembly was very straight forward. This thing had one of the best instructions books I have ever seen! All the steps were very methodically laid out, and the assembly was fairly intuitive (once you realize that it will take a while....) The parts themselves were very well designed, in the sense that they will only assemble in one way, so there are virtually no chances the unit can be assembled incorrectly. And same goes for the fasteners. All of them were different enough, and packaged individually, so that one couldn't confuse which hardware to use where. All that being said, the manual states that the assembly should take 90 minutes; it did not! I spent about 130-150 minutes on this, from the time I laid down the first large piece, to the time everything was assembled. And I believe I do know what I am doing, and moved at a decent pace, but again, there are so many pieces. But in the end all of those pieces came together very nicely!PROS:-Made locally in QC, Canada!-Sturdy construction (once fully assembled)-Paint (or stain?) finish is very nice-All the pieces came together very well, and all the metal components (i.e. Handles) feel very high grade.-Came with a special black marker to touch it up if scratched during assembly (I didn't use it).-Looks really good in my living room.CONS:-This is not a big deal, but the backing for the bar looks and feels very cheap. It is essentially a piece of cardboard that gets nailed to the back of the unit. It does the job well, but I just wish they would have worked in another solid wooden piece in there... maybe just a little thinner than all the others. Would have added a bit more weight, but I think it would have looked a little better. But again, this WAS NOT A BIG DEAL for me.Overall very happy with the product.

Fantastic piece of furniture!
Excellent piece of furniture. Very detailed instructions and easy to follow. Like a Tardis.... small and compact from the outside but plenty of room on the inside. The only negative is that I would have liked n exra shelf though, which would have helped create additional space for my glasses... Very suprised it wasn't already supplied as there is room for it! But Loving it.

Looks great. Sturdy
I'm happy with it. It's pretty heavy and sturdy. It looks great. My main complaint is one of the boards was damaged out of the box. It's actually the top part so the damage is visible. I decided to keep it as I didn't want to have to deal with the return. Others have mentioned it showing up damaged. Maybe it's how it's packaged, I'm not sure but seems probable it may show up damaged

Amazing bar!
Where do I begin....1. This is an amazing space saver (my photos dont depict this as I JUST finished putting it together)2. I purchased a "scratch and dent" version from amazon someone returned and saved nearly 100$!!!! (Paid $160.30 after taxes) Does it look damaged? Absolutely not, not missing pieces and everything looks great!3. I am a 23yr old female weighing in at 130 and I dragged.. yes dragged this through my apartment building and set it up solo in under an hour and a half. It is possible4. Directions are straight forward yet they are NOT LABELED so pay very close attention - much easier doing it by yourself rather than 2 people possibly mixing things up.5. Need a fair bit of space for set up as you wanna make sure it's all there before starting.6. The large drawer is a tad bit stiff but it should loosen up with use - I also added baby locks to keep my kid out on the cupboard and both drawers7. It came 4 days earlier than the expected date!Overall - 5 stars I found it easy to set up and very sturdy if done properly even comes with a wall "anti tip" bracket :) Would totally reccomend if you have some patience
