High-Decibel Outdoor Whistle Rescue Emergency Whistle Life-Saving

It's solid and well built, but it's hard to hold in your mouth while holding both ears. I guess that could be handled with ear plugs to free up hands, so it's not a deal breaker. My biggest complaint is that even with a healthy set of adult lungs, I could not blow it louder than 84 db (with sound meter in front of me), which is WAY below the advertised 150 db that persuaded me to order it in the first place. I returned it for failing badly in meeting that standard.

I use this on my job as a security device along with a bright flashlight as a deterrent from an assault by anyone. It works, unlike some have stated in the reviews!?! It's just not as loud as some I have used which would deafen one of my eardrums while using! So, if you need a really loud whistle... look elsewhere! I feel that if a whistle hurts my ear/ears while I'm blowing into it, then it going to do the same to an attacker if one isn't allowed to carry a firearm or knife on or off the job!

a fifty cent whistle is a lot louder. I would never buy again. It’s junk
