ElitechDigital Vacuum Gauge HVAC Micron Gauge 0-19000 Micron Refrigerant Vacuum Meter 1/4" SAE, VG-760

This is a GREAT micron meter. I messed up and had my vacuum pump full my lines with oil and cover the sensor on my micron meter, a little ran alcohol thru the lines to remove the oil, and a little Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner from the auto parts store, and she was good to go!

The device read accurately (I assume), but after a week failed to read all together. Even when connecting directly to the vacuum pump. Being new to diagnosing leak issues I was going on the assumption that the unit was reading accurately. It may have been that I never truly had a leak. The frustrating thing was I spent weeks trying to find the leak. Finally I did a pressure test and never saw a drop in pressure. So I attempted a vacuum test and the unit failed to read at all even though the manifold guages showed a good stable vacuum. I would not recommend this as I experienced the same quality issues others in the reviews have experienced.

Confused at first, thought the reading would be 19000 full scale until vacuum went below this reading. Not so, vacuum must be below 19000 microns to start reading digits or you only see dashes. Seems to work great when all connections are tight and pump is working well.Overall good size and unit changes are not a problem.

Backlit for the extra see-ability. Case is built to perfection as well. Would love to see more cases like this.Quality done right at every turn. Ty Elitech

I was not able to get it to hold vacuum even when connected directly to the pump.

I used it initially on my gauge set. Achieved 400 microns in good time. Solid readings. I will be using it on a project this weekend. I did send Elitech an email to their customer service address. No response after 4 days. questions: will the display continue to read "_ _ _ _ _ _ " until a vacuum greater that 19000 microns is achieved? (I found out this to be true when I tested it. Even though their pictures show the "19000" reading when not connected); when I powered the unit up two codes displayed. Manual does not include any code descriptors. So I wasn't sure if I should use the gauge. Couldn't wait due to upcoming project.

I connected straight to almost-new 6 CFM pump got a call you go, you know. It appears to have worked and held. Will update with pictures soon time for a retest all signs are positive at this point

Gauge came in a nice foam case. Easy to read.Used to put in my new AC unit. Seems a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Not disappointed and would recommend.
