Fhybat Upgraded 21.6V 5000mAh Li-ion Replacement Battery

Bought for replacement battery for Dyson. New battery only lasted 3 months and doesn't keep charge now like the old battery that came with the Dyson vacuum that lasted over a year.

Anyone who has a V6 know that battery charges don't last long. Mine was having issue taking a charge at all; the charge cord and the battery inlet were sometimes not 'connecting', so the battery wouldn't charge. A friend of mine, with a V6, was having the same issues; sometimes the battery would charge, sometimes it wouldn't. I purchased this battery to replace the original manufacturer's battery, and so far this has worked great! No installation instructions, but it's easy to install, too; just go to YouTube for better instructions than would come with the battery. The run life of the battery seems longer than the original, and I like the 'dual color' on the battery showing the battery is charging and when the battery is fully charged. This has worked so well (so far) my friend just purchased one to install in her V6. So far, so good!!

This battery is a definite upgrade from the standard battery that came with my dyson V8. The only con I have with this battery is that the charger doesn't fit it was well as the standard battery. Sometimes you have to jiggle it ever so slightly for it to engage. It's not a huge hassle, but with the standard dyson you didn't even have to pay attention. In any case, you can tell that the dyson has alot more power and with this battery. The max power last a long time. I didn't eve realise that we had max power going and vacuumed the whole room.

Replacement battery was great for a year then turbo mode started lasting 2 mins before battery needed recharging.

This battery is a GREAT upgrade to the original! The original battery was a few years old and dying. Wouldn't last very long, especially on high power. This battery will run on high power and I haven't drained it yet! Even when brand new, the original battery wouldn't last this long. The only complaints I have are that the replacement of the battery could be a little tricky for some people but that's not the battery's fault. Dyson just didn't design this vacuum to have a quick change battery. Also, the first time I put it on charge, it didn't seem to want to plug in so I had to fiddle with it a bit. But now, the more I use it, the easier it pops into the plug. All in all, very happy with this purchase!

MODIFIED: Battery quit working 9 months in, TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!! Pay the money and buy Dyson genuine battery. I've looked it up and the 18650 cells are about $9 each and there's 6 of them ... so, you know that anything under about $60 has to be GARBAGE!!!The charger hole/plug of this battery doesn't accept the charger pin correctly of the wall charger. Initially, it pushed up the spring, and the charger plug wouldn't seat correctly into the battery. I could push the charger spring down, and it would work, but my wife kept forgetting to do this, leaving the battery uncharged even though it was in the holder.I finally fixed it by wallowing a 7/32" drill bit around in the battery's charger hold. But I hate having to fix brand new parts before they'll work correctly. Therefore, my one-star review. And I doubt everyone will have a 7/32" drill bit to fix it the way I did.Before fixing it, I looked in the battery's charger hole and saw that it was poorly made. There were little flaps of metal bent into the hole, and they weren't curved with the hole, making the hole a too tight of a fit. Therefore, my charger pin wouldn't seat into the hole correctly, thereby not making contact with the center pin of the battery's hole.Also, I read some of the other one-star reviews, and it sounds like they're having similar problems, but not recognizing the problem. Anyone having problems with this battery staying charge might want to consider this review.

I ordered the 5000mAh battery to get the extended life on a charge. Installed it, which probably took me a total of 5 minutes, including getting the time to get a screwdriver with a regular shank, rather than a stubby, because of the filter mechanism in the way of one of the two screws holding the batter in place. After putting it all together and installing in the charger and seeing that the charging light was illuminated, and waiting 24 hours to fully charge, I tried it and NOTGING happened. Oh well. I read all the reviews and realized I was one of the ones that got the bad battery. Knowing what the previous customers said I immediately sent it back and a day later got my replacement and WALLA, It was a good one. Thanks again, AMAZON, you did right AGAIN.

Easy to install, but buyer should be aware that this battery has "memory." If the battery is recharged before being totally discharged, the point at which the battery is recharged is a new limit, i.e., the battery "remembers" this discharge level as total discharge. Therefore, one should run the vacuum until the battery dies and only then, but the vacuum back on the charger.
