Awful
I bought this for my elderly mum. Dora phones are advertised as being simple to use and suitable for the older user. This is awful! No paper instructions. Very difficult to use. I'd be better off buying the same phone I have and showing my mum how to use this, at least I can help her when she's a bit stuck. It doesn't matter how tech-savvy you are, it takes ages to suss out what to do next when you get notifications.Whatsapp uses a curser on the screen that you need to navigate around the screen to get the message us.Not touch screen.

Not sure it should be described as for the elderly
The phone seems to be of good quality but programming and using is not that easy for my elderly mother.Apart from the keys being smaller than I expected from the images, the keys to move the curser up/down/left/right are very difficult to use, you have to use a finger nail to press these keys rather than a finger. Entering names/details is also tedious. If you want to enter a letter C you need to press the ABC key then look at the screen to see the blue highlighted letter/number and again use the difficult arrow keys to move the highlighted character to C and then press the ok button. Rather tedious for just one character.

Set up tricky but then okay.
this phone is targeted at older people. I am 85 year old. So set up is tricky, and instruction leaflet is long winded but does cover the essentials. WhatsApp etc. I shall consider in the future maybe. It took me some time to find how to lock the keypad so that I can carry it around without dialing out. Emergency button good, clear screen good. Texting good, only had this phone a short time but okay so far. apparently GPS, Bluetooth, etc affects battery life so good to be aware.

Clunky.
I bought this phone to replace my smartphone, which had too many shiny things to look at, games to play, and had begun to really impact my productivity and hobby time in the evenings. I could have been drawing or writing, but instead I spent countless hours browsing the internet, playing backgammon, etc. I needed WhatsApp, there are some groups I wasn't prepared to do without, so this phone looked like a really good option, given that 1) it had WhatsApp, 2) it could play MP3s, 3) it was 4G, and 4) you can't download any other apps. I do wish I could uninstall Facebook, since I don't have a Facebook account, but that doesn't really matter. It just sits there in the menu, unused and unloved. While I've been enjoying mobiling 1990s style there are few problems. The buttons are fairly stiff and unpleasant to use. Nothing like typing away at 100mph in t9 on a Nokia 3210 or that lovely white and orange Sony Ericcson Walkman phone I had back in the day.WhatsApp is clunky as all heck. This is not the phone's fault, I think, I think it's the actual WhatsApp port. It's very, very difficult to navigate as the cursor will disappear and you can't get it back unless you leave the chat and go back in. The same buttons do different things at different times, like sometimes the OK button will send the message, and sometimes it will drop a new paragraph, and I can't work out why it behaves differently at different times (My WhatsApp is set up to not use enter to send a message). Sometimes WhatsApp will open the chat at the bottom, and won't let you scroll up to see the unread messages. If you're typing "I" it'll give you G. Every. Single. Time. If you click a phone number to save it, sometimes it will open the "save contact" dialogue, sometimes it'll just start ringing them. I've set WhatsApp to silent, vibrate off, no notifications, but it still buzzes every other message. It's actually terrible. The battery life is nowhere near as amazing as I expected. I've used 75% in 24 hours, which included a half hour phone call and about three hours of listening to music, and quite a few WhatsApp messages, as it's my birthday today. My Nokia XR20 smartphone needed charging every 30-36 hours or so, and I used that a lot more, and it has that great big screen to power.Which brings me to the media playing portion. We listen to music through earphones at work so a robust MP3 player is important to me. Now, I like to listen to whole albums at a time. I buy all my music and I have quite a lot, neatly organised by /band/album. The music player in the Doro 7010 gives you a list of all of the tracks. Hundreds and hundreds of tracks in a big long list. Takes flippin' ages to scroll down to listen to Zavod. The music player itself is stable and sounds good enough, I haven't had any problems with it.It plays videos well too, although has the same problem of all videos appearing in one big list.Copying files on to the phone is flakey as. Only half of my music made it through, and only one video out of about 200. There is no reason I can find for this, and the computer seemed quite happy that everything was copying across OK.So the upshot is that, although I am really, really enjoying being back at a 20th Century level of distraction, I'm going to be looking at buying a different phone to continue doing so. And possibly a separate media player.

Not any use for disabled
I bought one of these for my elderly disabled wife, and it is useless. It kept going to engineering mode, and I had trouble sorting it every time.It was slow to switch on, did not display text properly, and was generally not fit for purpose.Eventually junked it and bought her a different phone altogether.

Not so easy to use
Very disappointed in this device. My husband still can't find his way around it after one month. It needs recharging every day.Can not get apps on it and internet is barely viable.
