If the name Kenny Vaughan doesn't ring a bell, don't be surprised, but you've probably listened to him a million times. Kenny is one of Nashville's most sought after sessions men wielding a guitar. A technical virtuoso in many genres of music, he has played with all the best since the 1980s! Now you can check him out on his own solo album!

GREAT Music!!
This CD is a MUST for anyone who likes "genuine" and "real" country music. The songs and of course the pickers on this CD symbolize "the epitome of Hillbilly Twang" and is heavily flavored with the things that made Nashville famous!! Now add in the fact that the pickers also add to the quality & uniqueness of the music. Kenny Vaughn is guitar player for Marty Stuart, and this CD has not only Kenny, but also Marty Stuart, Paul Martin, and Harry Stinson, collectively known as Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives. Add in some spice from outstanding Nashville pickers Chris Scruggs, Charles Treadway and Jeffey Clemens, and some great vocals by the legendary Oak Ridge Boys, and you have the complete recipe for an awesome musical treat! Just go on & buy it....you can't go wrong on this project!

Cleanest Picker of the "1352 pickers in Nashville"... NO DOUBT!
I have followed the music of Marty Stuart since he was 14 years old. When the Fabulous Superlatives were formed, I began to tune into Kenny Vahghan's work. He is definitely not the "how many notes you can twang in a nano-second" kind of guy... although he does a respectable job at that too. He is, without a doubt, the source of the cleanest guitar sound just about anywhere; highlighted by his work with the Superlatives. This solo album really shows who he is via his GREAT choice of songs & lyrics; especially "Country Music Got a Hold on Me" and "Okolona Tennessee". Great backup by the Superlatives & the steel work of Chris Scruggs, too. Best musical $$ you can ever spend... Kenny's debut CD is a real gem! Footnote: Don't miss seeing these guys in person if you EVER get the chance.

Nashville's finest!
It's hard not to give this recording a 5 star review. But, I can only expect that Kenny's recordings will improve over time. This is a strong initial release from one of Nashville's most awesome guitar players. I've seen this guy live, and he can burn it up! It's a mix of genres ranging from Mexicalli, Honky tonk, rockabilly, and yes, even a little bit of country. He has Marty Stuart's Fabulous Superlatives backing him up (who he is a member of, usually backing Marty). Please support this artist for offering up something of high quality from Nashville a little tangent away from the Disney owned country stations and big money labels who tell artists what to do. This guy does thing his own way, and does a damn good job of it with true down home, do it yourself attitude.

Kenny Rocks!
I heard Kenny play at the Johnny Cash Heritage Festival this year and had to buy his album right away. This guy is one of the (if not THE) best guitar players I've ever heard. Buy the CD. You won't be sorry.

I love Kenny Vaughn
I love Kenny Vaughn. One of the all time great guitar players. His work with Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives is great, his solo work is great, his session work is great. If you love great guitar work, weather it's backing up a vocal or on its own, this is the guy. Class A all the way.

WOW!
This album certainly isn't all rock and roll, though there are hints. It isn't all country, though there some more hints. What this album is--is all GREAT! Kenny Vaughn may be the best guitar player in Nashville, but it turns out he can also sing some too. This is one of the best first albums I have heard in many a moon. Do yourself, and your ears, a favor and buy this CD! You will be glad you did!!

fun twangin' CD
Kenny is currently Marty Stuart's guitarist, but has logged time with Lucinda Williams and many others. So while "V" reflects his country day gig, it also hints at his rock and roll roots. Great playing all the way around from the Superlatives - and a chance to hear Marty stretch out a little bit, as well. My favorite song is Lillie Mae, which sounds like it could have been recorded by The Band. My band got a chance to open for Kenny - what a nice guy! This is a fun, upbeat CD.

Fantastic Country Guitar
Kenny is a member of Marty Stuart's band. If you wnat to heat him playing go to u tube and check out his playing. He can playing different styles expertly. What I like about Kenny's palying is his tasteful back up that complments Marty's singing. When it comes time to solo he cuts loose and rips it up. His solos are difficult to play because of his movement around the neck of the guitar, string bending techniques, etc. If you like hot guitar, I reccommend it.
