Will Shortz Presents Hard Sudoku Volume 5: 200 Challenging Puzzles

A whole book of sudokus that are my favorite degree of difficulty. The grid size is great for filling in multiple possible numbers. The paper quality works perfectly with my erasable pen.

I use sudoku to exercise my brain and alleviate stress. These are perfect - the "Demanding" puzzles are intriguing but not frustrating, and the "Beware - Very Challenging!" ones force me to be patient, concentrate and employ every puzzle skill I have to solve them - but they are quite solvable! I will look for similar sudoku books in the future because the easier ones are just too easy to be worth it.

But that is the challenge, for me. I am glad there is only one puzzle per page. More quality time spent in contemplation.

Great suduko book

I like Sudoko puzzles! It is nice to have a printed (not online) means of reading and writing). So, this sudoku puzzle book is especially good for me as it has one puzzle per page with larger blocks and numbers. These are hard levels of sudoku. 200 puzzles.

My husband is really enjoying this collection.

Great puzzles from Shortz. Shortz books accurately describe the level of difficulty. The quality of the paperback is absolutely fine, but I would prefer a spiral/coil-bound book for ease of use (even if it costs a bit more).

I was looking for somethign a little more challenging than the (UK) Times super fiendish books and so far the last 100 in this book (I have completed the first 30) whihc ar supposedly "very challenging" are pretty straight forward with few "higher order" approaches needed. A little disappointing as I was looking to improve my game. The first 100 puzzles appear to be a very simple sort of sudoku

As usual, a great Will Shortz sudoku book.
