Mattress Topper Queen, 3-Inch Memory Foam Mattress Pad with Washable Cooling Cover, Pressure Relief Topper for Back Pain

I bought the 3 inch foam to put on top of my Purple Mattress. The Purple Mattress had utterly failed at the one thing it claimed to do in the advertising - relieve pressure point pain. I have scoliosis, 2 back surgeries with 18-level spinal fusion, weigh 100 pounds, and am a sode sleeper. I get extreme pressure point pain in the right hip, which is the major place that supports my weight. This is complicated by neuropathic pain, which is a different mechanism, but causes very similar pain issues for me in that same area. In the first week or two, there was an adjustment period, and I was frustrated by still waking up in pain. However, as the weeks progressed, the pain improved dramatically, allowing me to sleep much better. The overall comfort level is a big factor. Shoulder is comfortable, too. Therefore, I recommend this product, and am thankful that I finally got relief without having to spend $1,000 or more for a new mattress.

My wife and I have been discussing the idea of purchasing a new mattress for our camper. While she hasn't had the difficulties getting comfortable that I've had, we both agreed that our mattress was not optimal and could be better. Up to this point, we've tried adding a mattress pad and the foam egg carton style of topper, but neither had made a difference. As a last ditch effort to avoid purchasing a new mattress, we decided to give this topper a try. I'm happy to report that after our first camping trip, I slept 100% better! It was comfortable and not too firm. We did not find it to be hot, as others fear some toppers can be, and it maintained its cushioning throughout the entire weekend (did not flatten). I cannot speak about its long-term effectiveness, but for our initial use and quality test, it passed with flying colors. (Also, we laid it flat for about a week once we took it out of the box. We did not notice any lingering odors after unboxing.)

I absolutely LOVE this mattress topper. After suffering with back issues for years (just general stiffness and discomfort, but no pain), this mattress topper has mostly cured all of that. For the first time in years and years, I can finally sleep on my back again for hours. Also, although it doesn't keep you cool, it also doesn't store heat like other memory foam mattress toppers. My last one made me feel like I was baking in an oven at all contact points with my skin. This one keeps me at the same temperature as whatever cover I'm using (so , if I'm using only a sheet, I'm an equal temperature all around, top and bottom, but when it gets colder, and I use a blanket, again, I'm equal temperature top and bottom.

Upon opening this product, there was a slight smell and two very prominent creases down the middle (See picture). I'm not sure if this will expand and fix itself, but so far I'm not impressed. The washable cover is very cheap and looks like if you wash it, it will pill badly. Also the zipper for the cover is very cheap, after unzipping it once, the fabric almost tore. I'm hoping it will expand and the creases will go away, otherwise I will have to figure out a way to ship it back. Also right out of the box it is not wide enough to go to the edge of the mattress (see picture). Overall, I would NOT buy this product again. You get what you pay for.

My brother slept on my mattress this past summer and told me it felt like sleeping on a S'more. The outer surface was supportive but the inside was old and squishy. I have since been more conscious of the failings of my old mattress. I decided to invest in my sleep but couldn't afford the $800 mattress I wanted. So I decided to research and buy a better made topper instead. Something with some mattress like depth, something reported to not be too soft but also cozy. I am also not a skinny girl as I used to be, I wanted something that didn't feel like a had bought a thin layer of nothing.BINGO. This topper was exactly what I was looking for. When out of the box it began to inflate. It reminded me of that material they use for temporary casts when you break a bone. It was lumpy, hard like a sack of grain, with long bumps in it from where it was folded. It was thick in the middle and thin on the edges. Kind of had a corpse like rigidity. Hoping it got better, I moved it to the floor.Eight hours later, it had morphed into what looked like what I had seen in the pictures online. I put it on my bed encouraged. It had puffed up to almost the 4" thickness. I made the bed over it, adding a mattress cover under my fitted sheet. I then decided proof would be in the pudding.Wow! As night went, it became even more comfortable. Very supportive, not too hard or too soft, suddenly the pressure points of my old mattress were gone and in their place, a perfectly cushioned sleep.I am here to say it is cooling as advertised as well. I may need to add an extra blanket on any of these spring nights that get a little too chilly. For this summer, this bed will be really extra nice!I have to say I made a very good choice buying this topper! It's a luxurious, super comfy option to breaking the bank for a whole mattress.

I bought this because my mattress is too firm. My first night on this mattress topper, I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 3:30am hot and sore. It’s spring time now, about 63°F in the house. I did not expect to wake up hot. What I like the least is that I wanted this to be more comfortable especially in my hips. I sleep on my side. I find that my hips just sink down to my mattress, and provide no extra cushion or support. Very disappointing. I’m concerned about returning it because it is foam and how am I going to possibly put it back into the box?
