The Clean-Eating Kid: Grocery Store Food Swaps for an Anti-Inflammatory Diet

Want more energy, less brain fog, feeling anxious, angry? You need an Anti-Inflammatory Diet
I read Jenny Carr’s first book, "Peace of Cake: The Secret to an Anti-Inflammatory Diet" first and was given an opportunity to read her second book: "The Clean Eating Kid". Both of them I read as a digital download but I ended up purchasing both since I plan on referencing them often and want them in sight as a visual reminder to eat clean. I feel as if, for me, reading her first book before reading her second was truly beneficial in order to help realize how easily this transition to clean eating can be. Both books are very informative about the top six inflammatory foods (processed sugar, wheat, cow dairy, GMOs, inflammatory oils and alcohol). Her first book gives a lot of recipes that can be made at home while her second book helps teach you about grocery food swaps for the toxic foods you currently eat. And since the food industry is always changing, she provides additional resources such as a Facebook group page and a website which lists current available food swaps. Honestly, it’s sad that a book like this is needed in order for us to find food that isn’t laced with toxins. It’s sad that the food industries can get away with being so sneaky with their labeling. Thank you Jenny for doing all of the research and presenting this knowledge in two easy-to-read books.

Jenny Carr's book has a wealth of information for parents who want to help their children get healthy and stay healthy by developing good eating habits at an early age.Jenny's quest to find healing, and the amazing results of her findings has helped many discover answers to their health problems. Avoiding the five most inflammatory foods that she lists, especially the elimination of sugar, made a remarkable difference in my own health. Healthy Food Swaps and Learning about Trusted Brands!
I’m amazed at all the options there are for clean grocery store food swaps. Thanks to Jenny Carr’s book and enlightening information, we can be more equipped to take our health and our children’s health into our own hands. I’m the mother of a 23 year old who lives at home and makes his own choices, but I still have a lot of influence in the way I live my life and how I can equip him with the healthy options he sees our family make. Thank you so much for sharing your story and so much wisdom for us to succeed! My family is still enjoying the recipes from your first book in PEACE of Cake! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Exactly What I Needed!
Wow! This book is exactly what I needed on my own journey to eat clean and heal my digestive problems! This book is not just for kids ... I’m definitely NOT a kid and I find it really helpful in figuring out swaps I can easily make to keep me on track with my eating plan. Jenny really knows her stuff and I credit her anti-inflammatory protocol for the significant healing I have experienced - which has resulted in weight loss without counting a thing!

Needs more ‘how’ and less ‘why’
Too much pre-amble about ‘why’ to eat healthy and not about ‘how’ to eat healthy. Author / editor / publisher should realize that people buying this type of book already know the ‘why’, they otherwise would have no interest in buying it. It’s like preaching to the choir, as they say, and caused me a loss of interest very early on in the book.
