Enjoy a luxurious swimming experience without irritating and potentially harmful chemicals. With The Spa CuZn, you can forget about all the headaches of storing multiple toxic chemicals in your home, along with the weekly hassle of testing. The Spa Core CuZn System consists of a 2"D x 6"H Core of Spa CuZn Media enclosed inside a mesh bag and a Support Stem to hold the core in place. The Spa Core CuZn will typically last for 3-5 months. The Spa Core CuZn is flexible and can be squeezed into place, it can be cut to fit if necessary. A snug fit is best, as it is important that all the water flow through The Spa CuZn Media during the recirculation cycle. The Spa CuZn's all natural process, made possible by our unique reticulated KDF media, utilizes catalytic action and redox (reductions/oxidation) principal of dissimilar metals. When the spa water comes in contact with the reticulated KDF Media Cubes, a reaction takes place that forms copper and zinc hydroxides. These controlled releases purify the water creating a conditioned, stable environment that prevents scale and bacteria growth. KDF Media has been tested by the national science foundation and received NSF certification standards 42 and 61. CuZn's reticulated KDF is currently used in commercial and residential applications, including the filtration of drinking water. Unlike other chlorine alternatives, The Spa CuZn will never cause staining. The Spa CuZn should be used with a Potassium Monopersulfate mini shock, we highly recommend only MPS Shock be used for best results. A mini shock is a 50 percent dosage of what the manufacturer of the Potassium Monopersulfate recommends, an MPS shock is recommended on a weekly basis and immediately after bathing in the tub when using The Spa CuZn System. When using chlorine based shock, remove the Spa CuZn for a 12 to 24 hour period to let the chlorine dissipate. The Spa CuZn is not compatible with Biguanide Chemical Treatment Systems.

Incredible Customer Service!
I have a secondhand hot tub that I really don't know anything about. It is probably twenty years old and the set up was kind of confusing. I have been cleaning it and running jet cleaner through it just to prepare it for use. I ordered this Spa CuZn knowing I eventually wanted to use this along with hydrogen peroxide in our hot tub. When it came time to actually use this thing, I was unsure how it would fit into the filter housing. There is a stand pipe along with a chlorine/bromine dispenser that is connected to the lid of my filter housing. So there seemed to be no space to squeeze in the Spa Cuzn.I had read on Amazon reviews that Spa CuZn customer service was helpful, but the help they provided me was BEYOND! I called and spoke with Chris and explained my set up to him. He emailed me manuals and a diagram and after we got off the phone, it didn't quite work as we'd discussed, so I emailed him and he took the time to call me back and walk me through a second possibility. Well, that solution worked for me and I now have the Spa CuZn installed! Chris was so patient and friendly. I know nothing about hot tubs, but he patiently listened as I tried to explain my crazy spa filter set up. Thank you Chris!I have only just installed this Spa CuZn today, so I will have to update later on how effective it is. I am hoping it is as simple as everyone else says it is, but I will follow up in a month or so with my thoughts. So far, so good! :-)

GREAT customer support!!!
Had a few questions for our Coleman SaluSpa (the stick will not fot into filter bc of cone shaped mount the filter and cap slide over) afterI had questions about products I'd need so i wrote and got an immediate response and CuZN left their contact and hours.I had set up our spa over the weekend and put the stick that wasnt fitting in filter in the float and shocked got in next night and removed stick to add clarifier to cycle 24hrs. Put the stick back in and noticed it was a darker brown color it so..I .called.A nice woman named Sarah answered and direcred my problem to Chris whome had responded to my written question at CuzN.I found out NOT to dry out the stick once its been wet and activated by shock, which we did. He offered to send a new stick for float, and to hang it in the bag vs putting it inside. In addiction hed send me a bag of the cubes to hang from the recirculating filter cap instead of placing the stick in the filter.I learned that the purifiers will darken throughout their use and eventually turn jet black near the end of their life and become almost crunchy like at the end of life.I was impressed by their knowledge of product , customer relations and reassured this company wants to make sure product is used properly and help you do just that not wasting my monet6 product or time.Thank you Sarah and Chris!!

From One Star to Five Stars!
I had previously given this product a one star review because the Spa Cuzn was sucked out of our filter and straight into our spa's plumbing, which took a great deal of effort to fix.I'm happy to report that CuZn water systems has stepped up to the plate and done what many other companies wouldn't do -- make it right! They sent us, at no charge, a pair of Spa CuZns they custom manufactured for our Bullfrog spa's filters, as well as improved the support pipe system to prevent the Spa CuZn from being sucked out of the filter. They also offered to reimburse us for any repair costs to our spa due to the first incident.NOW -- I can report that the Spa CuZn is a fabulous addition to our spa -- today I re-checked the positioning of the Spa CuZn in each filter and they're perfectly in place and not being sucked out.CuZn Water Systems should be commended for being a first class company -- they truly deserve a five star review for their incredible support and customer care. And the product also appears to be first class -- we're following their instructions to the letter and the spa water is beautifully clear. We'll see how that pans out over the next 2 - 3 months of use, but I expect great results.

Very satisfied after 4 years of use.
Have been using the Spa CuZn for about four years now and doubt we will go back to chemicals. Great product. Great company. The claims, though hard believe, have been proven out in our application. We are on a well with fairly hard water - difficult for any spa product. Tried chlorine and then bromine and all the testing and chemical use was a PITA. Gave the Spa CuZn a try as a Hail Mary. Freeking awesome! After initial startup hassles after changing the water this product is a set and forget. We leave it in longer than recommended and only change when water quality deteriorates.A big benefit, one that they mention, is that the Calcium buildup on the plumbing and heating element sloughs off. We use a clarifying agent to clump the particles so they can be filtered. Calcium on the heating element wastes electricity so the Spa CuZn can help save money, our spa, and the environment. Nice.I called the company to ask if the cloth bag was necessary. I was told it was not as long as I didn't mind some particulates getting into the water. I don't and I like the efficiency of not having the bag. I asked some more general interest questions and the person who helped me was great. Extremely knowledgeable about the chemistry and use of the product. He spent about half an hour explaining and answering my questions. I've a degree in the sciences (minored in chemistry) and what I was told checked out with my knowledge. Two tips: 1) If you have a continuous circulation pump, put the CuZn in that filter as it will operate 24/7 putting more of the water in contact for longer periods. 2) Don't use the bag. It creates more drag and more water will bypass it. 3) If your filter is the "right" size, the CuZn will nest inside tightly and you won't need to use the PVC sections to keep it from getting sucked into the pump (this may only work if in the filter for the continuous, slower moving pump, YMMV).Buy one and give it a try. If it doesn't work you can go back to your chemicals. If it does work, you will be very happy you gave it a try. One reason I'm writing this review is to increase demand for the product so they keep making it. Naked self interest I'm afraid. GET ONE.
