So iLL The Street Climbing Shoe

For men, So iLL recommends a 1/2 size up from street shoes size. Typically you size down climbing shoes, so I was skeptical about So iLL's sizing. I ordered a 10 since my street shoe size is a 10 and I currently wear a 9.5 evolv climbing shoe. So iLL's sizing was spot on. The 10 was far too tight so I ordered a 10.5 and found that the fit was much better.

First off, these shoes are nicely designed. They look great and the materials feel very premium.I wear a 10 mens street shoe, usually buy 10.5s for some wiggle room. I should also mention in La Sportiva rentals I usually fit an 11. These 11s felt smaller than the La Sportiva 10.5s, possibly even the size 10s as I have a wider foot. I kept them on for maybe 5 minutes but my toebox felt too cramped to comfortably climb so I returned them for a larger pair. My second pair was 11.5, still uncomfortably small for my size 10 feet. My 3rd pair was a 12, and I could do a single climb in them but took the shoe off from discomfort on my big toe. By this point I was getting tired of returning small shoes so I went with a size 13 and skipped 12.5. The 13 fits comfortably and is 3 sizes up from a US mens size 10 equivalent for this shoe. I would say if your a 10 try a 12.5 and if thats too tight go for a 13, if youre over size 11 find another climbing shoe.

Extremely happy. Ordered them a size up from street shoes as they recommend and they fit as expected. I think a lot of people who are rating these low are neglecting to realize a climbing shoe this aggressive is typically a little tighter than others.

I love these shoes. I normally wear a size 6 in women’s so I have to go down to a 5.

Perfect climbing shoe for my hard to fit feet

Initially painful but they broke in quickly. The Street is comfortable for a climbing shoe. The shoe being all black and synthetic caught my eye. I've worn them indoors and outdoors. In both environments they work amazingly. The rubber is super sticky and gives you the confidence to smear as you please. I feel way more confident while in these shoes. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I've been sending problems I couldn't before. I'm by no means a professional climber, but I really like them. My only complaint is that they do stink after a bit. It is my understanding that this is very common with synthetic shoes though.

I purchased this pair of shoes in October and am reviewing this in July - it has been 9 months and there is already a hole in my right shoe. It’s unfortunate because the shape and fit was great, but I expected more use out of this before it gave out. I climb about twice a week, and this pair was used purely for indoor bouldering in intermediate routes (V5 and under). My last pair of shoes (Scarpa) lasted for 3 years including several outdoor climbs.

Product was a little to small for me.
