AMAZING POT
This pot is amazing and you can't imagine why. I'll tell you why - you cook your pasta or whatever in the pot with thecolander in it. Then you have 2 choices, you can 1) hang the colander up and let whatever is in it drain or 2) you can have the colander hang and all you have to do is pour the water out, the colander remains in the pot with whatever food is in it. Nothing spills out. It's just AMAZING.

Worst Pot You Can Buy
This truly is the worst pot that you can buy. While it’s cool that it holds a basket in theory, it actually burns everything weirdly easily. The construction or the metal or whatever it is makes for a terrible cooking pot. Not only that, when you’re cooking any veggies like potatoes or pasta something happens with the colander in the pot that causes it to overflow really easily - it creates a wall of boiling water around the collander that shoots water up and out of the pot. I kept this pot for six months or so, but eventually just threw it away because of how bad it was. Just buy a pot and use a separate calendar. It’s not worth it to anyone, I assure you.

Not a hefty pot, but still attractive & useful
Dislike flimsy, handle has to be bent to hold, if you use the strainer on the pegs you have to put so much water in to cover whatever you are cooking, so it boils over. If you drop the strainer to the bottom, it works out ok, still convenient enough that I ordered a second for my son, he is happy with it also.

Good for pasta
I really had high hopes for this pot. I was hoping for a dual purpose, pot with a drainer/steamer/and a stew pot. I mainly use it for a stew pot and to fry stuff without splattering as much. The metal is so thin, any soup, rice, beans, or chili gets scorched in the middle. I have to scrape the pan every time afterwards. Even on low making rice it scorched in the middle. The thinness of the metal makes it impossible for an even distribution of heat like with pans that have a thick bottom.

Rusted after first use
It is NOT as easy to use for me with my arthritic hands plus after first use the pot has rusted inside and outside. I hand washed in only prepared spaghetti noodles in it no tomato based sauce or anything was cooked in the pot. Too late for me to return to Amazon which upsets me, but that’s life! Don’t waste your money this could very well be a health hazard and should be recalled from the manufacture

Simply fantastic!
A very clever and useful system here. The suspended strainer on a gimbal is simply genius. I cook only for myself, and anything that makes it easier is most welcome. This pot and strainer are fantastic addition to my little kitchen. I highly recommend this to anyone that prepares pasta and such. Simply fantastic!

Watch out for the strainer
This is a great pot, the only problem is the sliding colander. I was cooking pasta and went to strain the water when it fell apart and all my noodles we t down the drain. It still works, I just don’t rely on the built-in strainer anymore.
