I own a karate school and wanted this mic to shoot instructional videos. I love the mic. The sound quality is very good. What I didn't like was that the instructions did not mention which app to download in order to be able to use this mic. I had to do a bit of research in order to find out (It's SMike+, you're welcome!) Which brings me to the only other negative, which is that you have to use the mic through the SMike+ app only. (I was hoping to use it for Zoom or through my Macbook pro).My only other negative is that the mic clip only opens to to about 20° or so. This isn't a problem if you are clipping the mic to a normal shirt, but is not ideal for attaching to a thick karate uniform, as it can pop off pretty easily.The SMike+ app is pretty user friendly and works well so far. The pairing with my iphone 11 Pro Max was super simple. Overall, I am very happy with this product thus far. Would have given 5 stars if not for the hunting for which app to use and the limited clip angle. Overall those are minor issues, really, and I would definitely recommend this product to friends.

Only works with it's own app. Can't be used live or with other software.
I wanted to use this product to teach online yoga and meditation classes, some of which would have been live. They even have a picture of a yoga teacher in the advertising! Anyway, I'm really disappointed that the only way you can get this thing to work is if you download and use the recording app. It's free and all, but why doesn't this thing work work with anything else? The app has very few controls, and certainly no frills.

Misleading to Android Users
This item DOES NOT WORK WITH ANDROID PHONES DESPITE THE ANDROID APP. I am not able to use this at all and I am requesting a refund. If I could give zero stars I would.

Restricted to recording with their app only.
Doesn't work for live video, so videoconferencing is out (the reason I bought it) also you have to use their app. It's going straight back in the box and I'll be returning it.
