Excellent Best of Collection
I am really happy with this album. I had considered getting the very best of album instead which as a dvd but I chose this because of the price. The very best of seemed a bit steep in price. I decided to take a chance on this because of the price and, boy, did I make the right decision. The sound quality is great played on a premium sound system. I was afraid it might sound like the Adam Ant greatest hits that I had previously purchased which sounded rather thin. This collection sounds exactly as I remembered them when I first was introduced to Ultra Vox. Now, I can listen to my favorites such as Thin Wall. I noticed that some greatest hits collections did not include this song which I feel is one of their very best. You can't go wrong with this album. This will probably be on my track rotation a lot.

Loved the vinyl and thank you for the handwritten note from the seller
In today's day it's hard to get pass the online contact forms and feel like you're dealing with a real person on the other side of a transaction... the vinyl came just as advertised, and on the shipping invoice there was a handwritten note thanking me for the business ... Thank you!

Best collection of hits from Ultravox - classic tecnopop
This is a highlight of the 1980's popular music. The collection is close to brilliant, these melodies are lovesongs in a techno beat "wrapping".The song Vienna is different from the rest - it has a much colder sound than the rest. If you have heard it once - you will remember it...love it or hate it...Visions in blue and Love's great adventure are starting as normal melodies but goes higher and with more fullfilling sounds towards the end...Many new bands have something to learn from these guys..If you want to have some 80's songs to remember - this album should be one of them.

Blast from the past
It was good to hear all the old tunes of the 80s synth/new romanticism band led by Midge ure. I did have this on vinyl in the 80s but did not stand the rigours of time! I decided to buy this after hearing an old Ultravox tune on the radio! It was great to hear the dramatic Vienna song but also some hidden gems such as the futuristic song 'the voice' and 'all stood still'. The songs dated from 1980 to 1984 when they were at there commercial peak and everyone on the album is a true classic.Towards the end there were some of there tunes that were heavilly guitar based such as 'one small day' which saw then a decline in synth and more towards the guitar based sound. Either the way band could adapt and were able to produce little ballads such as 'lament' or a pop ditty 'loves great adventure' or a rockish sound such as 'one small day'. You can't say that about bands much these days!I would highly recommend this album for those who were in eighties and forgot or those younger ones to appreciate the music talents of Currie,Cann and Cross mixed with the powerful tones of Midge Ure vocals.

I am in love again
I already had this on vinyl from when I was a kid, but man......I am punishing myself for disregarding them all these years.I forgot how amazing their songs are. I will dig out my worn vinyls again, but it's great to hear them on CD. Superb production.Midge's vocals are so powerful, and the aynth sounds they created have never been bettered.

Great nostalgia trip
Solid collection of synthesizer-driven hits, released between 1980 and 1984, demonstrating Ultravox's high level of consistency with Midge Ure at the helm. The classic 'Vienna' is the obvious stand-out track, although the likes of 'Vision In Blue' and 'Lament' are in a similar stately vein, and are both quite superb. The faster material is, generally, pretty good as well:- 'Hymn', 'The Voice', 'Reap The Wild Wind', 'We Came To Dance' and 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' are all worthy of mention here. This collection represents a great nostalgia trip for fans of early 1980s pop music and is well worth buying in my opinion

Ultravox The Collection well up to 1984 anyway.
A powerful collection of ballads, this CD is great listening. I do have the album on vinyl and on cassette, though when I bought the cassette I was surprised to find the box contained the extended version tape inside, Look out for this you'll get the 6 12" versions of; Loves Great Adventure, We Came to Dance, Reap The Wild Wind, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, Serenade and One Small Day.
