Notch Classic Stretch Fit Tan Operator Cap

Perhaps I should've selected smaller size, as it's not a fitted cap, but a stretch-fit cap.I've had another of their adjustable tan operator caps and waited for Notch to offer fitted or stretch.(Adjustable is great. only cons are the hole in the back and the buckle. Velcro would've been better.I cut out the buckle, and stitched in Velcro.)This stretch fit is a bit big, just to the point that I'll worry if the wind hits me in the face. I never worried with the adjustable. (But I'll make it work)It also had a couple torn threads from whomever installed/injected the paper Notch tag on top just behind the 1" square Velcro. (I'll deal with it.)An odd thing, the front two panels have an extra layer of material. The adjustable had none, and you could see the back of the big Velcro patch, which was fine and as expected. The added material causes the front two panels to stiffen up and the hat does not fit as well as it could. (Actually fits better backwards.) Just my two cents.I still love these hats.Wants; deeper cuts in the bill to pull the hat down even more. Lose the extra material. Offer a fitted version.

My head it between 58-59cm and their website suggests "When in doubt, order the next size down" which is likely true for most cases so I ordered the S/M as I did not want the hat to fly off my head on a windy day. After receiving the hat I wore it for a day at the range and loved the functionality and look, however it was a bit tight and gave me a slight headache. I contacted customer service and asked if they might send a L/XL for comparison and I offered to ship back whichever did not fit, they agreed and sent another hat right away (thank you Challin!). Once received, the L/XL fit very comfortably on my head and was snug enough that it will not fly off from wind or running. In addition, I have worn it several days now with no headaches!In closing, I suggest that if your head is the maximum measurement to fit a certain size, order the next size up for a more comfortable, still secure to your head, wear. I've been looking for a new hat since my ancient 'Spec Ops' branded one started falling apart. These guys have a good gimmick with that notch for your sunglasses.The notch works with my ancient half-jacket Oakleys, and it seems to be well reinforced. The bill is as sturdy as any other hat.

6 weeks on. Reducing to 3 star. Color is not fast. Sweat leaches the color out. A little hard to see in pic, but it's there. For the price, and what it is billed to be, I found that to be unacceptable.Yo, bro... nice hat! Fits well, just what I expected/remembered. As always, carry on.

I ordered the small/medium size based on the head measurements given on the website and found the it was a little big. I washed the hat to see if it would shrink and then had to attached a peace of sticky fabric to the underside of sweat liner to get it to fit. I love the hat but the measurements given did not match the several hats I tried on in a local store - even took a fabric tap measure to my head to get the size. .

Awesomely made hat. I can finally wear a hat with my sunglasses in it not hurt my face. Can't even begin to count how many compliments I've gotten on the hat also. Bravo to the guy who came up with the idea.

Got this hat for my husband for his birthday.I didn't know this company was owned and operated by a veteran and that a donation of every hat sold goes to the Children's Hunger Fund!Love supporting veterans since my husband is one!

Im giving this hat a four because I wish they would have offered it in a stretch fit summer type mesh in a tan. There is absolutely no one thing I have to say bad about it this far
