SpeedoMen's PowerFLEX Eco Solid Jammer Swimsuit

Too small - revised to: but they are my favorite
I am starting to swim laps and thought this would be a good suit for that. This bathing suit fit fine through the hips but was extremely tight on my legs, especially at the leg opening, which is unusual because my legs are really thin. I returned them and did not try another size - I didn't think something larger would fit well through the hips. So, kind of a first for me. Nothing has ever been too tight on my skinny legs before...4/17/12 - It's been 2 years since I posted this review and I've learned a lot about swimming and swimming apparel. After I returned these I ended up buying some Speedo jammers size 32 from a local sports store. It doesn't take long for these to relax a little and soon the 32's were not quite as tight as I would have liked. When I bought again, I bought the 30s and that's all I buy now. Yes, they are a little tight when they are new but when they stretch a little, and they will a little, they are fine.As far as quality goes, they are good quality, pretty much like the rest of the Speedo products I have.

Solid - but why cant they make wide waist band?
These are the best quality jammers I have ever bought. Namely because the material is thick enough, and there is a liner that makes them super comfortable and not too revealing on the pool deck. They do run small in size as others have said. Why cant swimsuit makers include a wide waist-band? Like other athletic shorts and compression shorts. That is the drawback here - tiny little waistband with shoelace drawstring. Otherwise the value is good for what you get.

Great To Use Under Board Shorts!
I'm tired of chafing in my board shorts!Man was not meant to fly NOR run around the beach, surfing, swimming, etc. in wet shorts for more than 20 minutes.I started flying when i was 8 years old with my father; It only took me 45 more years to figure out how to fix the latter. These do run snug, more than you're probably used to (It might have something to do with my preference for boxers), but you'll get used to them quickly. They also provide a bit of extra warmth and support, while still being very comfortable.Watch out when removing them while wet; they are long and cling to your body - you could trip yourself. The hidden waist string is a bit of a mystery; it's a way more than enough to tie even if you were eight inches larger than the listed waist size! I found the extra string uncomfortable until I tied a knot at an appropriate length at each end and then cut off the remainder. You may wish to melt the ends to keep it clean but you run the risk of leaving something sharp that will lay against your body. And, they are worth every penny!

Looking good
My sons and I all bought the same thing. They look so good that we went to a lot of indoor olympic pools to show off our sexy swim wear. I even want to wear it at home. I read other people's concerns about the size. So I chose towards my upper limit. It fits well. My 11-year-old normally wears size 12 in school shirts, etc. I read Speedo's chart, that equals a 26 inches waist line. I got him a 28, fits well. My 14-year-old normally wears size 14, Speedo chart says that equals 28", I got him a 30, fits well. My own pants' waist line is somewhere from 30 inches (if I go hungry for a few days) to 32 inches waist line (when I stuff myself a lof of food.) So I bought a 32" jammer, fits perfectly. So if you are on the slim side, like our family (we are veggetarians), just choose a size larger or your upper limit, the swim suit will fit. I can't speek for my colleagues and friends who like to cook and enjoy more delicious meals. Then you got to resort to similar weight people's reviews.

Sized a little larger than briefs
I was making the switch from a brief to a jammer. I wore a size 34 in the briefs (also a Speedo Powerflex Eco) so I ordered a 34 in these as well. They fit a bit looser and I could have gone with a 32 instead. I kept the 34 as it wasn't too bad, but I'll definitely do 1 size down next time.

Waste of money
In just 2 months the color changed from black to gray. The quality is really disappointing.

A Second Skin and a Pouch.
This suit is great. I do water aerobics and this allows me free movement unlike the trunk style suits.I where a 38 waist and I ordered a 38 which fit well.I did notice that after aerobics I went and sat in the hottub which has a roughened seating area and it casues a obvious wear mark on the rear of the suit. I think I need to be carefull how roughly I rub my rear on the rough stuff. This suit has a front liner which helps to smooth the frontal bulge and make it more diffused. The is a white draw string at the wait. For me the legs are a little long. I have short thights. My inseam is 30. the bottom of the leg comes to right at the top of the knee. The suit feels better in water than when I first tried it on.If it lasts a year I will be happy, I just need to not rub to hard on the hottub seats.UpdateI find that there is not obvious wear from the rough hottub seat. I was seeing a strange abberation from washing them in the shower. Good quality. I will change to a five.

Fit is small
My Husband wears a size 32 waist jeans but these are too small. We also ordered the 34 based on some of the reviews that were posted. It fits perfectly, so this product runs small. Other than that they are great swim trunks - work very well under dive suits.

The best jammers I own
Speedo is the way to go, as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to swimwear. But even within this one brand and even within this one style—jammers—there are quite a few differences among Speedo's product offerings. Some of this has to do with fabric. This may seem odd since swimsuit fabrics are just some form or other, or a blend, of polyester. But it's not as simple as that. Speedo has Endurance+, ProLT, and PowerFlex—there are others, but these three are the most common. Of these, Endurance+ lasts the longest but it is also on the heavy side and is not so smooth. On the other hand, PowerFlex feels really, really good to wear. It's a bit lighter and is so smooth it just slides right onto your skin. It conforms to your movements so well that it feels like, pardon the trite expression, you're wearing nothing.A couple of tips. First, wash by hand and rinse thoroughly after each use. Your jammers will last longer if they're free from chlorine. Do not wring out excess water; instead, roll up in a towel and squeeze without twisting. Second, if you want that second-skin feel of PowerFlex, pick the correct size by consulting the size chart. Do not size up like most guys. Just don't. Jammers are supposed to be tight. If you are shy or squeamish about showing, ehem, contours then just stick to swim shorts. Jammers are not for you.

Excellent
Il fait bien. Le tissu semble de bonne qualité. Jusqu'à maintenant tout est ok. Seul le temps pourra confirmer le tout.

Exactly what you would expect from Speedo
Exactly what I was a looking for. Very good material. The draw string needs to be made of more durable material, but otherwise great product.
