These are useless and may be the worst of all these types of handles that I have purchased, to date. They don't stick even if you just want to lift the seat, let alone mount permanently. However since I had three I decided to modify one cutting it shorter, drilling three counter sunk holes, and adding a stop to the drill bit so not to drill into the seat too far for the mounting screws, and now that handle looks like it may work just fine! I don't understand why you can not purchase a toilet seat WITH a lid and a integrated handle. The closest I have found is just a seat KOHLER K-4731-CA-0 Stronghold Elongated Toilet Seat with Check Hinge and Antimicrobial Agent, White
