Playstation 3 PS3 Slim YLOD Shims Fix Repair Kit Thermal Paste Kester 951 Flux Tamper Security T8 & T10 torx screwdrivers

Watched some videos on youtube, My Old school PS3 is back from the dead. Being working for over a month. Ibtook my time and followed the directions off of like 3 videos. *note no directions come with repair kit*

It probuct was just what I needed it was late getting to me but. That was UPS'S fault

The two copper plates were unnecessary for the PS3 fat. I only needed the T10 torx screwdriver.To reppair it you need to open it up, clean the old thermal paste, put the new one and heat the circuit. I did it using the hairdryer method [...] and it worked! I cannot say how much time the repair is going to last, only wanted to backup the game saves.

My brother got the YLOD, so I took it apart and reflow(with a heat gun) added the shims and paste etc. To my surprise it worked. Gave it back to my brother and he played it for 2-3weeks and the YLOD came back. So I had some left over paste, did it again and reflowed and it turned back on, only to get the YLOD a day later. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to stay on long enough to get the game saves off. So if you have nothing to lose try this kit. My brother ended up getting a new slim and starting over.... Someone should make a product that you can just pull the HD out and plug it in your new PS3 and pull the games saves off that way.
