But I like 16:9 alot. I record church service in monaural. Imagine monaural CDs. This movie has the action and violence that I want to watch. I like the shooting and punching and kicking. The explosions are a nice touch. The adventure and mystery is very interesting.

It's kind of a Mel Gibson meets Matt Damon story vibe, on a TV movie budget. Banker gets caught up in a criminal scam and is implicated in an assassination.I really like Michael Caine and find Michael Keaton to be a really skilled and fun actor. I liked Keaton in this roll, a bit more than Michael Caine in his. Caine just isn't pompous enough to pull off this roll. Rade Serbedzija, a Croation actor best known for a roll in "24", is perfect in this.There are a lot of screaming girls, tedious FBI agents, and a few featured sets of breasts. The directing choices seem slightly off. But, I enjoyed it.

Rather unusual main character, in that h e is presented as a straight-laced accountant type put up against some corrupt mean characters, intending to kill him and anyone else who tries to look into the fiscal irregularity he decides to investigate. It's a half way decent movie that got some bad reviews, but is a much better film than many of the reviews said. The main character is a bit cold, but he does manage to escape the elaborate traps set for him, and employs the few people not in on the scam to good effect. I'm glad he and they made it.

Watch it if you must, but watch out for the plot holes. They are so numerous and large you risk your safety by trying to walk through this mess. There is one actor in the entire film that says a single line that is believable and she's not in the film nearly enough to save it. But even with award-level performances (of which there are none), the plot of this disaster is so improbable as to be laughable.

Keaton doesn't have the presence to be either a can-do-it-all action star nor does he create an anxious, baffled ordinary joe who is scrambling for his life. Here, he is just bland. Nearly bored. Michael Caine is wasted. A mediocre script, possibly taken from a sophomore film school student. Maybe it's only one star, but I am so glad it is over, I'll be nice.

Thoroughly enjoyable film, great soundtrack, locations and story.Miichael Keaton is well-cast as a mild-mannered excecutive whose life is sent into turmoil when he goes to investigate shady deals being made through his company. Michael Caine as always is superb and really has fun with his role as Movie Star Jake Mellows. The supporting cast is great and the plot is well written.Note: Watch the featurette after you see the film.

Definitely B material but better than some reviews would suggest. Actually one of the better opening credits segments since Bond for appropriately suspenseful music and focused effective simplicity. Unlike Cassavetes. sigourney weaver, charles bronson, many others neither Sir Michael Caine nor Diane Keaton's brother can give less than their best even when they know they are on a subpar set with a thin script just cashing the check. Caine especially dominates the final sequences after brief appearances expertly playing a caricature of himself in the early going. Its no "Cider House Rules" or "Sleuth" but not at all wasted time as some claim.

I thought it was a good movie but the acting by the leading lady was poor.Judith Godrèche is pretty but her speaking of English is too scripted.It was as if her conversations were being read off a cue card.Besides that, at point 1:11 in the movie, why did she make a noise ?It didn't make sense.

I enjoyed watching this movie, despite what the reviews has to say.

Im only giving this film 3 stars due to the fact that two of my favourite actors, michael keaton and michael caine are in it, if not i would have turned the film off after about 10 mins as it was awful and the storyline was ridiculous but i do love these two actors so i had to watch it to the end lol!
