My favorite dewy blush , no makeup makeup look. Great for minimalists, beginners, and mature skin
Ilia multi sticks are so good. If you're seeking a product that is minimal makeup wear and something you could use on bare skin without foundation, this is it. because these sticks are more like face balm than a liquid pigment or even a cream to powder texture blush sticks , they give a nice glow and moisturizer the face. I use the bronze one for contour and one of the pink and peach shades on my cheeks and the highlighter. And if I just used those on my bare skin without anything else it gives me a healthy glow. Because it's face balm the color ends up a bit more sheer on the face but it is buildable and bendable. And usually a swipe or two doesn't even require blending or buffing to look good (though I still do that).Plus NO WHERE yet have I found another shade that is comparable to the shade tenderly which is the PERFECT blush pink neutral that makes your skin look flushed and youthful. (The closest so far is the she glam blush in the shade love cake, but that applies more like the saie dew blush and is sort of a different animal)I find them worth the price because I just haven't found anything so far I like better. I find with ilia there are two components, formula and color. Color being the harder to replicate because of the way their colors go on. I tried the saie dew blushes and the saie sculpting blushs. They were cool but I just prefer the way these are applied and the sheerness with which they go on. (I do use some more traditional liquid blushes sometimes) Saie is much more pigmented in its formula and how it goes on and is applied is a different thing. Ilia is more Dewey and also is oil based (I think it's shae butter based...again it's a face balm) where as saie dew blush is more dry once applied. It's more for the color. If you're seeking highly pigmented, more dry once applied and all day color wear , and you tend to wear a heavier foundation, these will probably not be your thing. With these multi sticks I don't need any other tool to make it look great. They perform better when swiped on the face directly or with fingers better than brush application IMo.It almost needs no blending and often I find blending with my fingers is better than with a brush. (Again think of these like a face balm and not just a liquid pigment)... Which is a plus for me, but for many I know would not be. They look so natural and flushed. My absolute go to color is tenderly. I have yet to find a better light neutral pink wash.My tenderly stick lasted me close to a year, mind you, I'm not an every day makeup wearer. So yes, it is higher in price. But it's worth it to me. If you're seeking more highly pigmented liquid/cream blush , try saie dew blush or any of those other highly pigmented liquid blushes. I haven't tried a lot of other stick blushes or cream blushes. I have tried elf putty blushes and that texture is very different.Keep in mind tho these can be very pigmented when you build. If you're a no makeup , minimal , over 35, or a beginner cream blush makeup person I think you will love these. Grab the shade in the city for contouring, cosmic dancer for highlighting, tenderly for blush and maybe a 4th blush color you want to try and you'll have an easy makeup kit that takes less than 5 min to put on.I use saie glowy skin tint also, sometimes elf halo liquid filter, or a few other skin tints. I use tower 28 concealer , I do use a setting powder for under my eyes and to set my oily zones. But as I said, these perform well without any makeup on and almost perform better that way. They do fade more quickly than a powder blush or a highly pigmented liquid/creamy blush. But I have found that if I later them over a powder blush they add a nice dew and add dimension.

I apply this with a brush
I love Ilia products and have used them for years and this particular color and blush was recommended by a color analyst for my particular season. I had never used a cream stick before as I was always a powder blush person. At first I didn't know just how to apply - (with my fingers or dabbing it on? It turned out dark in areas, but then I watched a YouTube video where the host was blottiing the product onto her brush and applying it that way. This worked much better. I use very little as I don't like a lot of color on my cheeks so for what it is I'm ok with it. I will say I prefer powder blush.

Expensive
Doesn’t stay on very long. Wanted something with more moisture. Purchased light color but it was darker than expected. Not worth buying again with a price of $36!
