Awesome! Son loves it! Cool constellations too!
Who knew that buying a globe would be so difficult, so many to choose from! I'm really happy with this one & grateful it came so fast! It's up to date with clearly labeled states, cities, boundaries, etc. When lit I like that you can still see the other stuff clearly below the constellations. You can get a power source for it separately. The only thing I would take note of is that the 14" measurement includes the base & everything, which comes completely assembled BTW, also nice! So the actual globe is probably around 9". I didn't expect this, but it's not really a problem at all, son's happy & everything is still easy to see. It also spins around with ease. All in all an excellent purchase! Thank you very much!

Great for Children
A terrific teaching globe for the whole family exploring the earth, it features, countries and the constellation.

Nice globe, nifty performance, issue with battery installation
This globe was the perfect size for sitting on top of my roll-top desk. The artwork and surface of the globe was excellent, the tilted support was metal and very solid, and the base was large and weighted enough to make the assembly very stable. I did have an issue installing the 4 C batteries to light up the internally-projected star constellations: the spring contacts were reversed so that the plus tips of each battery had to engage the long springs while I had to stretch out the short springs enough to contact the flat negative ends of the batteries. The polarity markings molded into the plastic battery box were correct. The stars appeared on the globe once I teased the batteries into position. Best viewed in a dim room, to remove external illumination from the globe exterior. Had to be a manufacturing mistake.

Terrible quality and doesn’t work
This is a terrible product. It doesn’t come with a power chord and the batteries don’t work to turn it on. Super cheap construction. Do not buy this.

Small and not completely accurate
Bought for a gift. Smaller than expected, looks cheap. States that capital cities are starred and major cities dotted. Wrong!! My state of WA listed only Spokane. No Olympia, no Seattle. The state of Idaho had NO cities marked at all. A glance around the entire USA showed no starred cities. Didn't bother looking at other countries. The print is tiny. The only good thing about the globe is that the constellations look cool when lit. The globe turns easily after fixing it when it arrived because the top attachment was off kilter. Battery compartment is screwed in, which I hate, and springs are flimsy. Requiring 4 C batteries is ridiculous, with no AC adapter available.

A little expensive for what you get.
Shipping was good and it is exactly as the pictures show. There are a couple things that could be better though. For the price I feel it's not asking to much for a wall plug to be included with the globe. As far as the actual globe itself the light sensor that should turn it on automatically when the lights go out doesn't work at all with normal room lights, even with 4 60w bulbs in the fixture... It works if I take a really bright flashlight and put it right in front of it for what that's worth.

Piece of garbage.
Returned. Couldn't really see the night sky, and the light showed through. Confusing and frustrating.

Educational
For Christmas, we gave this to our 7 year old granddaughter who has been showing an interest. Last summer we were camping and she pointed out the north star and big dipper. I explained a bit about the planets and stars and she was quite interested. She spent a couple of nights here with us this weekend and she wanted to bring her globe with her so that she could look at it some more with me. What really got me is that her dad told me that she said it was her favourite Christmas gift of all. Today we're going to look at why the seasons in the southern hemisphere are opposite of the northern hemisphere.

Suppose to be a teaching globe but missing capitals, and showing at wrong positions.
Just a quick look. Quebec city wrong side of the St Lawrence river. British Columbia capital is Victoria on Vancouver island, but not even showing. Mzny other capitals even in the USA not showing..To the seller. You can cancel the return. When i blocked the light sensor. Light inside the globe came on.I only needed the globe for quick references with the countries. But many references with cities and capirals, are wrong
