Not for toenails
This is not gonna work for your toenails. At least it won’t for mine because this is very gentle. So I took off one star for the fact that it’s useless for my toenails. But what it does is allow you to shape your fingernails and because it is slow and gentle you can do it precisely. At least that has been my experience. It is slow yes but it works.

Lives up to its advertisement, works as good as a standard file, but faster!
I got this for my birthday after seeing it advertised. I don't have anything to compare it to price wise, so I think the price is pretty good considering it is motorized on two speeds and has a filing head, buffer and shiner. The filer is cool, gets my nails a lot more even then using a standard nail file. Works for toes too, though the thicker the nail, the harder it is to use. I mostly bought it for a file, so the buffer and shiner are a bonus for me. I used it the first time and was amazed at how silky smooth my nails felt afterward! Definitely a plus if you don't like to wear a lot of nail polish but want to have nice looking nails. Overall, I'm happy with this nail file.

Ineffectual
Good idea, but the device is weak.

NAILED IT!
We are in our 70's, and nails have become an issue; I wasn't prepared for that! I was going to an RN to have my toe nails clipped, and it cost $45.00 each time I went. Add wear and tear on the car, in addition to the cost of gasoline, and it got to be an expensive proposition each month. Living in Maine has usually meant having to go out in inclement weather, a thing that was no fun. HOWEVER: The initial cost of this little machine was less than my RN charged for one treatment. Replacing the heads is 1/3 the cost of the RN'S service! If this did not work well, this review would be different. As it is, this is easy to use, it's cost effective (compared to having to go elsewhere), and it's versatility is appreciated. Both my husband and I "do" each other's toe nails, and I'm grateful that we don't have to continue to rely on others to care for our pedicure needs. I have not tried it on my finger nails yet, but I'm sure that it'll be just as effective.

Amope foot file is a 5+, but their nail file is a 1.
First off - sorry for the very harsh review - this is meant to help others make informed buying decisions.I had been using an off-brand foot file for years, but mine was getting old (very used lol) and I couldn't find the replacement heads I needed. I saw the Amope Foot File on sale for 27.99 and I snapped it up since it usually costs far more, online and in-store. I saw this nail file for 50% off and snapped it up, too. I thought "Score! awesome home pedis here I come!"Well I was half right. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Amope Foot File. I loved my old generic foot file, but Amope blew it away with form and function. I will review it later, but for now, I have to say that this Amope Nail File is as bad as the Foot File is amazing. Yes, I hate to say it, but it really is that bad.The #1 issue I had with this item is that it doesn't work.I spent about 20+ minutes trying to get my toenails shaped and buffed, but saw almost no results as I was buzzing along. I kept thinking, "Your nails are already pretty short and shaped - it's no big deal!" and "Hmm, maybe if I buff a little more it will smooth out better... " and "Hmm, well it's sort of kind of a little bit shiny like when I use my manual buffer... maybe a little more..."So, about 20 minutes into the process, as I started to get annoyed - because honestly this wasn't much longer than an emery board so it wasn't really "easier" to reach, and it wasn't showing results faster than an emery board or one of my buffing blocks (blocks ARE indeed shorter by about 50% if you have a reaching problem). In fact this thing once I got to the polish-buffing stage - despite loudly humming along and feeling nice like a massage - did more when I turned the power off and manually buffed back and forth with the pad on my big toenail for a few seconds. Went back to my other big toenail and tried the machine for a few minutes - no results again. Turned it off, buffed manually and the nail was shiny in under 30 seconds. While it is possible I got a dud, I have the Amope foot file and that sounds similar and works amazingly. I used that machine to compare sound and feel - and they sound and feel similar - but there are just no results on this nail file machine. It FEELS lovely! Like a massage. It would be decent for bringing circulation to the nail beds if that is something you need, but as a file or buffer it is almost useless. I even tried other batteries to see if despite that plastic battery shield being in place when I got it, maybe the batteries were old. Nope. No change. Sounded fine but produced almost imperceptible results.I could give this another shot but frankly I was so unimpressed I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of back and forthing because I get the feeling the item was fine - as functional as any other Amope Nail File - but that it is just not a terribly good product. I suspect it doesn't have enough of a back and forth motion or motor-power to surpass what can easily be done manually. So, at $9.99 - I thought this was a bargain - but alas I wouldn't even recommend this to my 70 year old mother even if it were free. It simply isn't effective - takes much, MUCH longer than manually filing/buffing so would probably frustrate more than help a senior or a person with disabilities more than it would help them with the reaching part. A good large foam-core or firmer nail file would be fine for reach and would be more effective than this item so the senior wouldn't have to reach for 30+ minutes (I assume you would need to spend at least this to get results - if ever) to do what could take 5-10 minutes.Again, apologies for the harsh review. Other consumers seem to dislike them. Companies must not like them either, but when a product doesn't perform then this is the system that allows us to share these issues and concerns.Best of luck and hopefully I either save you the hassle I experienced, or if you do buy this item you don't get the experience I did.(Forgot to note two things in my initial review. First - it said it should come with nail oil and it did not. Second - It has two power settings and my experience was using it on HIGH power from almost the get-go, in case anyone is wondering. :-) Again best of luck, fellow shoppers!)

Love this!!! 1 million stars.
Ok. So, these have CHANGED MY NAIL GAME. They are amazing!!!I bought 4. Lol.I HATE filing my nails. It's always had a nail to chalkboard effect for me. So I never used to file my nails, I'll just clip them instead. This nail filer is the best. It's electric and just perfect in every way. :)It's probably a little expensive for what it is, so don't buy 4 until you try it. The pads do wear out after about 10 uses. (I bought the refill packs too. 😂) I use them about 3 times a week. But for how much I love this thing, I give it 5 stars.

Great alternative to salon services
Great alternative to salon services. I decided to buy this and see if I could make my nails look decent without going to a salon. I usually get a manicure/pedicure every 3-4 weeks so I thought if this product works well it could save me a lot of time and money. I'm not very good at doing my nails on my own and I have very thin nails. After using it, I have to say I am very impressed. It is very easy to use and really does make my nails look great without very much effort in only a few minutes. It will definitely save me a lot of money and time. I also love that it easily fits in your purse.

Great for splitting nails!!!
I have nails that split all the time and catch on things. Usually I have to file or clip them every day. I used the amope on them and they have been smooth and not splitting for several days now. That is something I like. I did buy it to take care of some problem toenails and it hasn't done what I was hoping. I would like a slightly heftier and more powerful version of this. Perhaps they will come out with one eventually. But I do like what they have done for my finger nails.

Great idea and great company but not the best product if you have soft nails.
The Amope Pedi Perfect Nail Care System is an all-in-one nail file, buffer and shiner for hands and feet. The Amope Perfect nail care system is a handy and easy to use device and can be used to maintain your nails and keep them looking clean and polished without polish! There are three heads that are used to gently file the tips and top of your nails. The first tip is a courser grade file to get the rough patches of nail smooth. The second head is a lower grade file to smooth and clean-buff the tip and tops and the third step is the magic polishing tip that shines up the nails to a high gloss shine that looks like you put a fresh coat of clear polish.I was really excited to try this product because I take care of my nails and this device would save me time and money by decreasing my need of manicures and polish. After trying the product for the first time, it was easy to follow instructions and put together. I really liked that it has two speeds because I found it easy to control and that the battery is included for immediate use. There is a learning curve to know how much pressure you can use for the files to be effective, don't press too hard.I find the Amope Pedi Perfect Nail Care System good for someone who has hard nails and not soft like mine. Because my nails are thin, I could not successfully achieve the natural shiny look I have been able to achieve with manual products. I could not apply enough pressure all around the nail because the file was too big to access some parts of the nail and hurt when trying to angle it to reach.Overall, I will recommend it as a quick nail fixer-upper if you're in a pinch but because it wasn't a top performer for me, I cannot give it a top performer score. I love Amope products, unfortunately, just not this one :(

Loved this!
This is a very easy to use electronic nail file. I have tried a cheaper brand in the past and found that one to be very abrasive and damaging, causing my nails to break. This file is much gentler. The unit comes with a battery and the three nail file attachments which file, buff, and shine. The nail file attachments are easy to change, just pull off and push back on and they are labeled as well. It would have been nice to have come with a little bag to keep everything together, and I thought the cap was a little pointless since none of the attachments can even fit underneath it. The file attachment takes the longest (out of the three attachments), to shape your nails so I needed a little bit of patience for that one. I have ridges on my nails and I love how easy it was to get smooth shiny nails, much faster than using manual files. I find the price reasonable compared to getting my nails done in a salon, and much more convenient to be able to do it at home. I was able to do a mani and pedi three times using the included attachments before needing to buy refills. I will definitely continue using the Amope Pedi Perfect nail system.

Mixed feelings
I was excited to get this product as I have another Amope product that I really like. I gave the Perfect Nail Care System an "okay" vote because while it does a decent job, it's not spectacular. I can get the same (or better) results from other hand-held tools like a nail file and a buffer.I was mostly disappointed with the file tool. I didn't find it did a complete job of filing and I had to finish it off by hand. I can get better results more quickly by simply using a good emery board.I did very much like the shining attachment, it did a good job. However, I don't think the price was worth it just for that.

Amope Pedi Perfect Nail Care is an electronic nail file.Works great, I've never been good at filing my nails, this helps out alot. Saves money so you don't have to pay for a manicure. Comes with 3 exchangeable heads. Easy to use and change heads.Comfortable grip, I thought this was a good price and extra heads to replace where good price too.Recommended to save you alot of money by doing it yourself and still looking great!

Seems to do a good job.
i was anxious to use this system because I have a very difficult time using my left hand to cut the nails on my right. It works very well - it is easy to file them and smooth them with the appropriate heads. I did not see much difference using the buffing head but I did not buy the system for this particular need. For filing, it is great.
