Has potential to be 5 stars, but problems
4 stars overall for looks.5 stars for the cabinet appearance. Exactly what I expected. Very nice for MDF.2 stars for the faux flame. Not very life-like.1 star for the packing. They used the most brittle styrofoam ever. It's like glitter. It's everywhere. I'll be finding and vacuuming little styrofoam balls for the next year. I even opened the box out in the garage and brought it in piece by piece. Still have a ton of styrofoam bits everywhere. Assembly took 2.5 hours with a philips screwdriver. Not difficult, just a ton of screws and cam locks. Instructions are okay.2 stars for quality control. A corner has a tiny ding/chip (back right corner, not easily seen). A board has scratches, but is inside the cabinets where it's not easily seen.3 stars for the heater. It works well and heats our spacious den easily. For the very affordable price, this unit has the thermostat, timer, and remote, that other units of the same price range do not offer. That was what sold me on this unit. That said, the faux flame is already noisily rattling after just 2 days of evening use, which is terribly disappointing. It detracts from the ambiance.Overall, I'm very mixed on this one. It has such potential to be a 5 star item.UPDATE: changing heater to 1 star. The noise has steadily increased and can be heard over the TV. Seller has offered me a $40 credit to keep it - which is rather disappointing. A new insert runs about $140. Sure hope I don't have to disassemble the entire thing and ship it back.

Well I wouldn't buy it for family member I hated lol
I'll put it this way, fixing basically damaged partical bored is a pain in the rear. It came damaged on the corners and two of the side rails were falling off (meant to be attatched.) I fixed it with some nails and some glue. No big deal the damaged corners were in the back so I figured oh well. The screws they sent are not deep enough to hold the front piece together. (Partical wood breaks and falls off) The screws that are meant for tightening the boards down break and bend easily. Pay attention to the bottom half of the stand the only difference is 1/2in from where the screws go in so if you miss that you will have to take most of it apart to get the side pieces on. The fire place is like having a toy turned on and is also very cheaply made. On a possitive note after 6hours of assembly, a smashed thumb and my patience tested worse than with my teen daughter, it does look good. However, it will not be able to be moved anywhere except where it lays now. But you get what you pay for and I'm poor trying to look rich so I guess it works. 😁

Cheap, damaged but nice unit
Nice piece of furniture but came damaged and one piece was broken. The box was all torn up and beat up I knew something was going to be damaged. Also when putting this today the vinyl/color would break apart it’s on the cheap side but you pay for what you get. Overall pretty nice though.

Save your money
Price is wonderful, but quality is horrific! We originally ordered a rustic brown color. We got rustic gray. Then pieces are peeling and we’ve only had it three days now. A knob was missing, and if you notice in the picture at the bottom there’s a missing board, but really we have to get it custom fitted because the board was made a foot to long. Save yourself the headache and pay for something worth the money.
