Functional but overpriced hollow tube. . .
I wanted to get a larger diameter bar for doing forearm/wrist work; fatter bars are easier on my wrists, and I also don't have to use as much weight which makes it easier on my other joints. Being that I am getting up there in age (been lifting weights for almost 35 years), I don't want to have to pile on a tremendous amount of weight to get a good forearm workout. I have a TDS forearm blaster (looks like a "T"), which has a larger, almost 2" diameter grip area; but given it is only 18 inches long, I wanted something that would offer me a wider grip. I found this and decided to give it a try. . .First of all, for $120 plus, I was expecting more. This simply is a hollow tube with knurling, two metal rings (serves as collars) and two end caps. I have a high quality 25 lb, 48 inch long Olympic bar which I paid less than $90 for, and its quality and durability surpasses this fat bar, by far. Further, this bar will show every scratch and every nick--in fact, it arrived scratched and nicked up--and will rust quickly if exposed to even a small amount of humidity. It has also been stated within the product page questions and answers section that the bar is as much as 15 lbs. . . .or as little as 10. It is neither. It is very close to 12 lbs, and I verified this with two different scales (see photo). Nor is the grip diameter 3" as another reviewer kindly pointed out. It is a 50 mm diameter tube (or approximately 1 and 15/16 inches) from end to end. The stated length of 47" is correct, though. On the plus side. . .the knurling is aggressive enough that allows for a very good grip, which is paramount when doing forearm/wrist work. And. . .the end caps, which are held in place by pins, are actually metal, not plastic. I was pleasantly surprised by this.If you happen to be wondering what kind of collars to use for this bar, my favorite are the Lock-Jaws. They may be expensive, but do they ever hold, and well. Never had issues with them slipping off. . .and go on and off quickly and easily.Overall, this bar does its job, but at a steep price. In my opinion, the knurling is just right for this kind of bar and the metal end caps surely are a plus. However, these pluses do not justify the exorbitant cost. If you are looking for something of high quality and/or more product for your money, you might want to look elsewhere.I give this 3.5 stars but round it up to 4.

Solid bar with very good knurling. Finish is not the best.
I don’t understand why so many people seem to complain about this bar.First of all, I did some searching for a bar like this and if your looking for a 2” fat grip olympic bar thats around 4 feet total length, there’s only one other bar out there and its not on amazon and I have no idea of the quality. There are some top if the line name brands that do make fat bars that are longer but not this short, and they are about the same price and probably way better quality. If length isn’t that big of a deal for you I would look at 5 foot stubby axle bars. That being said I wanted a 4 foot bar so this is what I purchased. As far as the overall length, this bar is the perfect length for a curling bar that you can use with your Olympic weights and I love the grip width. It’s machined well and the knurling as spot on. You get a very positive grip. The end caps are metal and are pinned in and do not make any noise. The sleeves do not rotate independently but are fixed with the whole bar.The finish on this bar is sub par, especially for the price. It does scratch very easily. Personally I’m not concerned about it but for some people out there this finish is everything. If you can get over that then it’s a pretty solid bar.Overall it does what I need it to do and honestly I’m really happy with it and I would get another one.

If it fits a specific lift you want to do, its worth it.
The bar fits on Sternum high supports on the side of my power rack. I got it for partial presses. I like it better than my 5 ft. bar...better balance. It’s expensive..probably because it’s not mass produced by the thousands. I think it requires a specific lift you want to use it for. I agree with the reviewers who point out the absurd price for a knurled 2 inch pipe..cost to factory, less than $10-$20..with end stops for plates.

Will receive lots of use
This thicker bar proved to be helpful while recovering from a hand injury that I got during bowling (after 7 year break). However, it's also comfortable for hip thrusts, which is the primary reason I got it.

Love it! Perfect
This is exactly what I was looking for. Just as described. It was packed well.. just a unwrap, wipe off a little oil from the manufacturing process and you are good to go.I have been using slide on rubber grips to make my "ez curl" bar wider, but this is MUCH better. If you are on the fence on this one, click ORDER.Happy lifting

But it ,,You will love it
I bought this for the YMCA in Rome NY. It gets allot of daily use and became popular from the day it hit the gym floor. You have to use less weight, I use 45lb plates but dropped down to 25 to 35 lbs, Its great for the whole Arm Builds Wrist, forearms, and biceps at same time. You will feel this more because of the grip. The Bar is built to last and will not break.Ive 30 years experience. This is a great bar to add to your gym.

Decent bar
Good bar for fat grip curls. Definitely not 15.88 kg in weight, though. In fact, it weighs less than 10 POUNDS ( yes, I put it on my scale.) The weight discrepancy doesn't bother me, but it might some, so thought I'd mention it. The bar itself is extremely solid, and made of steel alloy, albeit hollow. All in all, I'm happy that I purchased it.

Barbell Specs are NOT true. you are lying to all customers.
First of all, after unboxing the barbell, its weight is not 15.9 Kg (35.05 Pounds), it is like 14 pounds and not 3" diameter, it is 2 " ..... I expected the exact specs for the cost. You will have to do something for all unsatisfied clients you have for this product. If the barbell were the exact specs, would have many happy customers.Very very disappointed.
