Not the real deal. Get something else.
The problem with UV lights is that one cannot tell if the unit emits UV lights because UV is outside the visible spectrum. The blue light we see are not UV lights but indicator lights. I was able to obtain UV test strips from UV light of another brand at a much later time after the purchase. The result? This unit does not emit UV lights. It i does not work. Too late to return. In contrast, the unit from the other supplier changed the UV strip color. That means Tony new unit emits UV lights.

Difficult to Gauge Effectiveness. Does work on Lumen Watch for UV Lighting.
The media could not be loaded. Attached please see video as to how I imagined using the sanitizer wand the most while traveling. On pillows, including my own at times. Those cloth items we don't feel quite the urge to get wet and heat up to make sure it is sanitized. In the end, when it comes to door knobs and surfaces like table tops I must think...why not just use a wipe? Even if the UV lighting is true it takes a great amount of time to use, effectiveness may vary depending on the specific germs or what it is one wishes to destroy, be it bacteria or a living microscopic demon like dust mites, etc. While not using the 'banana' test but the watch test to detect if there are UV lights being used (as the visible is really just a guide in the video) my thought is there is something happening, but at this cost does it really make as much sense as instead just bringing along my own pillow case, wipes, etc., and being far more certain about the issue. This is a fun luxury wand but my thought is it would be better to just use one's own products or even certain sprays and mists in lieu of this one in specific, which also, takes up 4 batteries. Unsure the point of the plug-in except perhaps for those wishing to use while it is plugged in and what one wishes to get rid of is near the outlet, or, if this is able to recharge the rechargeable batteries (2) of which I put into my wand. Too many questions for this to be graded as a purchase, but not in the realms of a 1 star product, either.

NOT Rechargeable
I was unpleasantly surprised to find that this UV sanitizer is not powered by rechargeable batteries. I realize now that nowhere in the listing is there a reference to this device being rechargeable but, likewise, there is no mention that the device only operates while plugged into AC or with 4 AA batteries. This is a big disappointment. I have other UV sanitizers that are rechargeable, so I assumed that this one was too. The seller should detail the power requirements in the listing. The sanitizer comes with the wand, an AC power plug, and a manual. Unlike many products that I order, the included manual is well written. I particularly like that they included a chart that shows the exposure time that the sanitizer should be used in order to kill various contaminants. To use the sanitizer, you either plug the device into AC power or install four AA batteries, then press and hold the On/Timer button until the LCD screen lights. Repeatedly pressing the Timer button will cycle through various countdown times, ranging from 10 seconds to 30 minutes. After setting the duration, pressing the Start/Stop button activates the UV light. Once on, pressing the Start/Stop button will turn the UV light off and will pause the timer. Pressing it again will restart both. Once the countdown timer reaches zero, the device turns off. It can also be turned off at any time by pressing and holding the Start/Stop button. As a safety feature, if the wand is tilted too much, the UV light goes off. While this is good for preventing damaging UV rays from shining upward, it is a little inconvenient when trying to sanitize surfaces that are not horizontal, such as monitor screens, or doors.Since I have no way to verify that the device is doing what it should, I will assume that it does indeed sanitize. This device will be a good addition to my repertoire of sanitizing equipment. I only wish that it were rechargeable.

Not rechargeable, needs batteries
I've tested out some other UV wands and they were a little bit better than this one. I am going off the assumption that the UV light from this is strong enough to disinfect as there are some lights that are not. This wand is OK in what it does. It does have a timer on it that you use to keep track of how much time is left. That is something that a lot of these wands do not have. The thing that I disliked the most about this one is the fact that every other wand I have tried out is rechargeable. This one uses batteries. That definitely took off a star for me. Overall, this is probably not the worst UV wand out there but there are definitely some better options.

A decent sanitizer but not rechargeable as described
This sanitizer is portable. It is light, comfortable to grip in hand. The operation is easy. There are only two buttons, so very simple to use, turning it on by pressing the ON button, and emitting UV light by pressing START button. Shedding light on items needing disinfection, this wand works well as a sanitizer. However it has false description. It doesn’t have one feature which I was looking for. It can be powered by either four AA batteries, or by power adapter, but not having a built in rechargeable battery. In the production title, it claimed to be “rechargeable”, but actually it is not. If I knew that before getting it, I wouldn’t have got it.

Clean soft surfaces
My wife took this to school to clean soft surfaces and items that are not liquid safe (like her playing cards and fidget toys). With this wand she is able to have more of the toys the kids she sees love. Her fidget toys were the kids favorite but they all had to be put away when covid hit. Now they are back out and the kids are thrilled. The wand charges easy and the charge lasts her all day (probably used 10 to 15 times a day minimum) She has even lent it to the other guidance councilor so she can clean her items too. SO far zero issues in her groups so very pleased with this wands function.
