Amazing
So, as a long time softcup user I was very skeptical about trying the actual menstrual cup since the price was SO much higher than tampons and softcups, but now that I spent the big(ger) bucks it's safe to say that, yes, it was well worth it, especially since I have saved so much mone in the last couple of months not having to buy new tampons all the time. So, for anyone who hasn't tried anything like this, here's a rundown of my experience:It's hard. Like, really hard silicone. It freaked me out when I first felt it because it was like 'no way am I not going to feel that' and when you first put it in its weird, but after a couple minutes you forget it's there - just like the first time using a tampon. To get it in takes some practice, definitely. The package shows you two ways to do it - fold it in half longways, or crumple it up like a "rose", which I thought was really weird, but after trying both ways the rose way works much better.Sometimes it doesn't go all the way up there. In this case, I just push it in until it stops.Sometimes my cervix sits outside it, and I have to twirl it by the stem to get it in the right place.Sometimes the stem is at an awkward angle and pushes weird on my urethra and causes pain, so I have to make sure the flat end is flush with my body.I had to trim the stems almost off to stop feeling them, and it is much harder to get out now that I don't have anything to pull. But, despite all that nonsense, here's my list of reasons I give this 5 stars:I haven't leaked a DROP since using it: hello white underwear, I can safely wear you again. No irritation from tampon strings. No need to buy anything ever again. You only have to change it every 12 hours, although I do more often because I'm paranoid (and old habits)After you figure out how to get it in right, it is as fast as changing a tampon, and it feels like there's nothing there. It's good for the environment! My list of bads:Takes a while to figure out your systemKind of difficult to empty when there's no sink or you're in a stall bathroom, but lasts so long you can wait until you get home anywaysIf you trim it too short it's hard to get out.Gets your fingers gross changing it, and make sure you have clean hands before changing!Long story short, if you're on the fence about it, just try it out. Maybe it's not for you, or maybe it will change your life and the way you look at your period

Mixed feelings but overall happy. 😊
This review contains a lot of information, maybe too much, but this is what I would have wanted to know about. This is my first time ever trying anything like this. Background- I am 31 and I have had 2 children. I ordered the small because I still use slimfits if I use tampons which is like once a year. I am Very happy I ordered the small because I am very petite.First attempt was a total fail. I got frustrated and I had No Idea how people could possibly use these, and that's from someone who has delivered 2 babies.Second attempt I realized that I probably should have used a little lubrication, so I tried that. It helped, but it was still difficult. I also tried laying down instead of squatting the second time and that also helped. My main issue is I had no idea which way to have the little folded part because it would just keep opening and startling me. I found that the best way to hold it is where your thumb is holding the fold because that is the most control I could get on it.So second attempt was a success but only because I was absolutely determined because I was at an all inclusive resort on the beach all day in cute swimsuits and didn't want to worry about liners all day. It did the trick and I was able to enjoy myself without worry all day!!! Wonderful!!!A couple of things that I wish I knew-In the directions, it says to rotate it... I found it completely impossible to rotate!! The first day it did leak out a little because I wasn't able to rotate it and just hoped for the best. The second day I decided I needed to figure out something to make It seal better. I decided to try to rotate it as much as possible, which is still so ridiculous. So I pulled down on the little tab which made it stick out quite a bit but it worked! Also, after walking around for a bit, it moved a little upward and settled where it needed to. But since I got it to seal, it worked perfectly and I didn't even have one drop of a leak. All in all I am happy with these and I definitely would not pay more to get the diva cup. These work great. You really just have to relax, figure out how they work with your body, and get comfortable with it.

First menstrual cup? This is a good buy!
This is my very first cup and I am so glad I tried it. After a lot of researching, I decided to go with this one because of the price. As a full-time student with no job and fixed income, 2 cups for $30 was worth a try. I especially wanted to stop using disposables. And I requested Amazon gift cards this last Christmas.I'd recommend trying it as is the first time. I ended up trimming the stem. After that, it was perfect for me. It comes with good instructions, but watch as many menstrual cup instructional YouTube videos as you can find. I think they're super helpful and informative. As with all new things, you'll have to learn how it works best for you. Be patient and don't give up. You can always wear a pad as back up until you're sure you got it down. Good luck!
