Q: It seems when I press certain buttons on my tv remote, it changes the colour on the strip light! How do I prevent this or change the ‘band’ maybe?

move led control to different position and aiming the control pad so it does not effect tv

No idea if you have an adaptor for the car but as is Clearly shown they come with a mains adaptor .

Q: Can the strip be curved / bent around corners?

Like any other strip I've seen this one is no different. It's not easy to bend it. It's not going to look nice if uncovered. There is also chance to damage it if you bend it too much. Going around TV for example I cut it to pieces and connected with cables to get 90 degrees bends.
