Accent Plus 37437 Yellow Glass Moroccan Lantern, 5 3/4" x 5" x 12" high, Multicolor

I really do love quality of these lanterns. They are well worth the price and add a great deal of exotic beauty to my back yard.HOWEVER:I ordered 2 of each color of this lantern I could find on Amazon, including red, green, blue, purple, and this yellow.The pictures look exactly the same.The details did indicate a difference in measurement between the Yellow ones (these) and the other colors, but the differences were all about 1/4 inch off, so, I assumed it was a problem in measurement consistency. One person may measure the lamp differently than another.Since the measurements were all so close in comparison between colors, and the prices were very similar (within less than a dollar of each-other at the time of ordering) I did not expect the yellow lamps to be different in size.Imagine my surprise when I got the big box of all these lanterns and the yellow ones were much larger than all the rest, by at least 2 inches diameter and height. Really though, the problem is with the other colors. The YELLOW versions are exactly the size I expected, and the others were all much smaller than I expected. (But still attractive)After measuring them all myself, it became clear that the other colors are measured from the hoop at the top to the bottom (10 inches exactly) and this yellow one was measured from the top of the main lantern housing to the bottom (10 inches) if they were both measured by the same standards, the yellow one should read 12 inches, exactly.In the end, I decided to keep them all, because they look exactly alike aside from the size difference, and I just made sure to align the Yellow ones on the ends of my Cabana so it was less awkward that they were bigger. I love them!

This shipped and arrived very quickly. The box was crushed/partially open on one corner, & I was concerned that I'd find a box full of glass shards. However, this is packaged very well, inside another box, internally packed well, beyond that.The picture looks as if it would be yellow glass, but mine is more of a deep, rich, warm amber.I placed a tealight candle in it(though it will hold a votive candle), and thought that it would be not enough light to really notice.I have to say that this lantern is quite a showpiece (as far as little lanterns go)SO beautiful and quite a mood creator. I have a tall metal candle stand in the corner of my bedroom that I placed this on, and dimmed the lights - the entire corner of my master bedroom lit up with the most beautiful shadow and light patterns.* I merely bought this to hang on the tall planter hooks I have on my exterior pathway with other lanterns I have, to create a spooky Halloween path up to the door, for trick or treating kids. I will still do, however, this is now one of my favorite candle-holders, and I will DEFINITELY be ordering more from this company.

I purchased this lantern and a few others to go with an enchanted forest/Hobbit/LOTR themed Sweet 16 Birthday party. I used a battery operated LED tealight in this, and loved how beautiful it looked! This has a decent weight to it and the amber colored glass just gives whatever LED light a delightful glow, and helps to create a warm, cozy ambiance to the room. I also love the way it looks even when unlit, it works really well with our Bohemian/Asian/multicultural design in that room, although I feel it would work with most any eclectic decor. It is constructed well enough to stand up to several years of indoor use, and the glass insets are secure enough that I don't worry about them falling out. The door to put in the light opens and closes without problems, which isn't always the case with some mass-produced decorative lanterns. I want one of these in every color, it is simply delightful!

Not a whole lot to say about these lanterns, I have bought 4 of the and this Yellow one is bigger than the others. I do not put candles in them, rather I convert them to run on electric lighting, therefore I cannot comment about heat handling & such.They are made of rather flimsy tin and will not take much abuse or frequent handling. In my opinion they will rust easily so probably better to bring them indoors during wet weather..Overall their pretty cool and do look very nice when lit..Hope this review was "Helpful" to you

I bought 2 of these, to mount on either side of a large art piece in my apartment living room. They look absolutely stunning in the dark ! They put out a nice amber yellowish light pattern on the wall, and produce a nice mood/ambiance.A few minor things, if I absolutely had to complain about something - the metal seems cheap, but hey, for 12 bucks, it's still a great value ! The legs (for the tabletop option) are not exactly the same length, so the lantern is a tiny bit lopsided. But, if you're gonna mount on the wall, like I did, this is not a problem.They came intact, and on time !!! So I can't complain about the shipping, like some other reviewers have.

This lantern is BEAUTIFUL when you put a short strand of white Christmas lights in it! It looks like lightning bugs in a jar! Also it makes cool-looking shadows on the wall from the intricate pattern on the top-especially if it's in a corner, and has a soothing effect. It IS cheaply made, some parts are a little crooked, but it's hard to notice especially if you set it up high on a bookshelf or computer stand like I did. Everyone notices it and asks how much it costs, when I tell them 10 bucks they have a hard time believing me! I'm all for this little lantern, I even sent one to my aunt!

Very happy with my purchase. I have ordered a few of these lanterns and plan on buying more. The item came packaged appropriately and on time. I will state that when I first purchased the package I thought it was missing a piece or it had broken but that was not the case. The glass pieces actually pop in & out with little metal pieces that you bend up and down to hold in place or remove glass, like you find on picture frames.
