Great for the car
Decided to write this review after using the gloves for a winter. I get very cold hands and got these to use in the car. I used to have a heated steering wheel, but on changing my car for one that didn't, I really needed something else. These are fine for use in the car as there is no wind to cut through, otherwise you would want to wear something like leather gloves over them to keep out the wind. Not sure how easily another pair of gloves would fit over the cuffs though. They have slight grips and holding/turning the wheel is fine. The three heating levels are great, adjustable while wearing depending on how cold it is.Battery life is good, lasting about 4 -6 hours before you have to charge the battery again.Material is very soft, but it can set the eczema on my hands off as it is not cotton.Battery is bulky and a bit uncomfortable and located in a velcro 'slot' on the inside of your wrist. There is a wire that connects in to the battery when you put it in. On very cold days you can feel the cold battery against your wrist which is not very pleasant. I guess if it were on the outside of the wrist, it would dig when driving, so I can accept this. The gloves can be used with a touch screen, which is handy. I haven't washed them yet, but will update the review if they stop working afterwards. Don't anticipate any problems as they seem well made and durable. The cuffs fit under the sleeves of my coat okay, Would recommend putting these on first if your coat is a bit tight over them.

I *think* they work?!
Some context. I suffer from Raynaud's and having to do regular dog walks tend to get all sorts of hand issues in the winter especially when you get under 5 degrees C. I normally use disposable hand warmers inside my gloves, but whilst they get nice and hot, they only really sort the palm out and fingers can still get pretty uncomfortable during a walk.I also need gloves to be fairly thin to be able to manipulate a dog bag without taking them off, so when I saw these, despite the price, I figured they were worth a try...(note these are a thin glove that are sold as a liner but can be used alone and that's how I need them. I expect if you are using them as a liner then they are a full 5* product)They're a bit bulky around the wrist, they don't last 2.5 hours on full heat, they're a bit of a pain to charge as you have to unplug the battery each time, but, the real question is do they work? And the answer is... I think so!Which I know is a strange answer. We haven't had many really cold days yet, but we have had days where I'd end with numbness/blue fingers and I haven't had that yet. I even scraped ice off the car after a walk the other day and was ok. So they must be brilliant?!Why am I still unsure? Well, whilst they are nice and toastie on full power when inside I feel none of that as soon as I'm outside. All the heat is taken away by the elements. I do keep my hands in my pockets as much as possible to maximise effect but still feel little heat (hands in pockets with my old thin gloves/hand warmers setup still leads to issues)I guess the loss of heat is still combatting some of the cold because, well, so far so good! But it still makes me feel sceptical that they're working and worth the high price tag and need a real cold snap to be 100% won over.Anyway, Amazon has a great return policy and the supplier seem helpful, so if you're suffering in a similar scenario to me they are worth a try. And the cost is somewhat offset by not buying hand warmers (and the waste that creates throwing away a pair + packaging every day...)I'll update the review after the winter...

Not suitable for heavy work use
These are okay, but the construction does not seem sufficiently robust for heavy work (say gardening). Fine for going for a walk, or sitting in a cold vehicle etc. These are relatively expensive for what they are. It would be good to be able to turn off the indicator lamps as they really don't serve much purpose.

Does the job
I've been wearing these for about a week now & so far so good. Well fitted, very good quality materials. The battery life on the high setting is a bit low at 2hrs so when wearing them for work the batteries need a boost charge now & then. As for warmth, I have raynauds & I work in a freezer at -24 & using these keeps a lot of painful fingers at bay. I usually set them to high & once warm I then turn them down to mid heat setting to make the batteries last longer. As many others have said in reviews, you need to wear them under an outer waterproof/windproof glove not only to keep the heat in but also to reduce wearing out the glove. Highly recommended. Not cheap but worth it for pain free hands.

Brought as a gift
Brought as a gift so no the most detailed view. I managed to obtain that the battery life was quite good but ran down quite quickly on full power. Which i guess you would expect. Comfortable to wear. Most importantly heated sections was only reallt felt when on full power. When on lower setting wearer wasn't sure they were on.

They work!
I have used these liner gloves every day and they keep my hands lovely and warm - I'd now not be without them, I suffer from Raynaud's syndrome and my cold hands were making my outdoor ventures uncomfortable. I wish the batteries were lighter - they are heavy and recharging takes about 4 hours! They are quite generous in the fit - I could have managed with the XXS version for my size 7 hands.
