Very nice light
First - if you are still using incandescent lights it’s time to switch. LED’s work just as well with much less energy consumption and heat. You are throwing money away. I had an HPS system with ducting, fans and air conditioning. LED’s eliminated all of that along with the noise while noticeably reducing my electric bill.I bought this light as an upgrade of another of their lights with fans. It has been on almost continuously for 2 years (4 hrs off per day) in a 25c environment. All diodes are still functional and output is the same as a new unit. This unit has enough juice for one large plant or 4-8 small plants, depending on size. The unit will provide adequate light for both veg and flower despite what some other reviewers claim even though PAR is less than more expensive lights. Although I haven’t tested, I don’t think more spectrum would justify paying 2 or 3 times the price for most indoor growers.Heat output is very low. My plants live a few inches under the lights and I’ve never had any burning. The only thing I don’t like is the dial adjustment for output. It’s easy to bump and reduce output 10% without noticing. It would be nice if the dial were more difficult to adjust.

THE MOST UNDERRATED LIGHT ON THE MARKET!
This review is from a legal state.Let me start by saying I first bought the Viparspectra 1000 for a veg light about a year and a half ago. That quickly turned into this purchase of the 1500 and I waited to review until I had a harvest with both under my belt. This light is the most amazing light I’ve ever used. I’ve used HPS, many LED brands including ones that people pay$600+ for and NOTHING gave me the results these lights did. I even used clones from the same plant and the results were more(and I mean more than double) the trichomes and the density, lack of stretch & leggyness, and I even noticed a big yield increase which is what I was going for. (I use photo period plants not autos)I even had a plant that I kept under 2 ft purposely to see what the plant that I breds’ limits were when Scrogged and topped to stay very short and small not wide ….and I got 3.25 dry Oz off a plant that had 11small branches and a total height of 22”. To me that was completely unreal because that plant was so tiny. So I started recommending this light in all my groups and people are also having good results and thanking me for the recommendation. If you’re looking at Mars hydro or similar farmer types…. Please just get yourself a VIPARSPECTRA 2000 or 4000 and save a lot while reaping the benefits of quality. The spectrum is perfect, no burning foxtails or stretch. This company is killing it at a bargain price and I’m a customer for life. No I am not affiliated with anyone just a super happy customer.Plants in photos were in week 5 of bloom and the frost on the bottom of the leaves as seen were even frosted over!!!

EXCELLENT DEAL! BETTER THAN THEIR NEW XS SERIES! 40% LESS EXPENSIVE! A++
Great deal on some very nice quantum type boards! Great design, with perfect heatsink, nicely designed dimmer, and all around great aesthetics and appeal.Excellent performance, as well! Better performance and looks than their new XS Series, which has a Meanwell Driver, and Samsung LM301B diodes.Newer model has popular brand names, but this PS Model has 450 diodes compared to 288 diodes with the newer, more expensive by 40%, XS Model.Because of the extra diodes, the PS runs cooler than the New XS Series, and actually puts out more light than the newer XS Series! Check the specifications for yourself!GET EM BEFORE THEY'RE GONE! WHY PAY MORE FOR LESS W/THE NEWER MODEL!

Great Budget Light!!
Review by my husband:So after reading the reviews for this light and seeing some of the pictures I just had to get it. Although I wish I had picked up the XS series instead for the better Samsung diodes this light DID NOT disappoint.I only paid $100 for the light after using a coupon and for that money I think this light did a FANTASTIC job on my two plants. They were stunted from a garbage light I originally purchased but the flowering phase took a JUMP. Definitely a great light for the price if you don’t have the money for something a bit nicer.

My plants LOVE this light!
Worth. Every. Penny.I've been using LED growlights to start my tomatoes and peppers for a number of years now, and this is the first time I've really seen my seedlings GROW.The mounting hardware includes plenty of cord and hardware to give a person a choice in how they can hang the light. I chose the two ratcheting pulleys that really made it a snap getting the light up and raised to the right distance from the plants. In the 1st picture, you can see how robust and lush my sweet peppers and tomatoes are on the top shelf. They're growing under the VIPARSPECTRA P1500. week. On the bottom shelf are two 9-month old basil plants growing under a $60? light. They're healthy, and I harvest from them about once a month. But see how they look like they're all stem? That's because any leaves lower than that turns yellow and drops off. Lack of light. Leaves can only grow within about 3" from the light itself. In the 2nd picture, you can see what my tomatoes and peppers looked like under my first LED light. The tomatoes (in the back) are about a week old and the peppers are only a few days old. All of them are bending toward the too-weak light. I moved them under the Viparspectra P1500 only about two weeks ago.I know. Amazing, right?

Good results
These lights are good.I have been using them for over a 2 years and can't complain about them.I do notice that they are to powerful for a 2x4 tent if your hanging 2 of them. The heat starts building up throughout the day and eventually reaches 95° plus.I would recommend using 1 in a 3x3 tent or if you are growing very heat tolerance plants then you should be good 2x2 set up for each light.4x4 tent would be a little to big for 1 but 2 should work well.5x5 tent works very well with 2.From seed to harvest these guys perform very well and I ended up getting 2 of there newer versions just in a 100 watt power ranges and have been very happy with those as well..
