Decent camera for the price
Decent camera for the price, but the real test will be how reliable it is in a year. Not sure I'd trust this in any location more exposed to the elements. The wide angle distortion around the outer edges of the frame are a bit more pronounced than any of the my other cameras, but it's still usable.I do have some concerns over the fact that one of the two cameras that arrived had a slice in the outer insulation, exposing the wires on the interior. Luckily, none of the those wires appear to be damaged. It does make me wonder if I've got some used product return or what have you, though. The other camera looks to be defect free. One note: even though this is a Sony Effio CCD this is not a WDR camera like other Effio cameras you might find. That was something I wasn't aware of, but that's on me, not the vendor.
