Double Wedding Ring Templates by Sharlene Jorgenson

I have owned this double wedding ring template set for over 20 years. I recently had to re-purchase it because I miss placed it. I am also a Quilt teacher and have taught this to all ages 18 to 80 with great success. I have tried I think pretty much all the other methods on the market and this is by far not only the easiest most accurate way to do it but it also produces perfect interlocking circles. You can easily cut out a Queen sized quilt in a day. Not only quickly but perfectly. The book that comes with the template set is amazing. Every step is diagrammed out to perfection and if that’s not enough all you have to do is search Shar Jorgenson double wedding ring on Pinterest or YouTube and you can see her teach and show every single step of the sewing process. You also have three different ways to cut out a double wedding ring Quilt. You can sew a scrap variation, A Seamless arc variation, or A planned Variation where are you have specific placement of fabrics repeating in the same position throughout your quilt. The scrap variation Is very unique in the fact that you can cut out all six of the middle pieces with a special template that’s included in the set that is unique to only this template set. After many years of teaching and using this set and All of my students having great success I can say with 100% confidence you cannot choose a better way to sew this quilt. I quite often Watch again her videos on YouTube before I teach a class to brush up on technique. They are so clear and precise right down to the ironing and pinning. The accuracy of this set is unbelievable and also the cost is a great value especially when you consider you are getting a full color book an access to Shar herself sewing it together with free videos to look at. As a teacher and a lifelong quilter I give my hundred percent vote to Shar Jorgenson’s double wedding ring template set. If you follow her directions and techniques laid out in the book you will have success. There is also complete yardage requirements for which ever variation you decide to sew In the back of the book.

New item, came nicely packaged. High quality acrylic templates (pink), non-skid felt stickies, and a pretty comprehensive how-to guide. Recommend this to other quilters.

If you want to make a wedding ring quilt, you need this template!! The pieces are translucent hard plastic and come with optional velvet grips to stick onto the pieces to help keep them in place. It comes with a book with various color variations for the quilt and gives detailed information on how to make your quilt like that. I highly recommend. It comes with all the pieces you'd need to make yours look however you want.

Update: I've changed this review to 4 stars instead of 5 after I actually started trying to piece this quilt and also after I saw Marti Michell's version of the double wedding ring template set on her website. Marti has the corners of the template clipped so there's no question where to start sewing on each seam. Sharlene Jorgenson's has fussing and manipulating pins to come up with where to start. I wished I found Marti's before finding this one only because I'm not an expert.This is an 8-piece double wedding ring template set and full-color instruction booklet. You have 3 options of the kind of double wedding ring you want to make: planned, scrapped, or seamless arc. The 25-page booklet is thorough. There is even a chart at the end that tells you the amount of yardage needed for each fabric you need for "planned," "scrapped," or "seamless," and VARIOUS SIZES you want to design your quilt. I've listed the sizes at the bottom of my review. The pieces all come covered with an adhesive backing on both sides that you peel off. It probably comes this way to avoid pieces scratching each other during shipping. On top a that, they are all glued on a sheet of cardboard so they don't slide around. There is a sheet of these little green fuzzy felt adhesive dots that you peel from the sheet and put on each corner of your template to keep your fabric from sliding during rotary cutting. I've attached a picture showing the booklet and two of my template pieces: 1 with green fuzzy felt dots, adhesive backing off and 1 with backing on.Sizes options (#of rings by #of rings):1 ring pillow. The patterns let you make many styles of double wedding ring blocks. The book is easy to read and well thought out. Plus the YouTube videos teach you how to make the blocks.

Like that it is transparent and and doesn't slip from fabric.Directions could be easier to understand and make it clearer which templates go with which designs.

I’m making a double wedding ring and the templates are really nice and the directions are easy to fallow. I’m enjoying making the quilt. I have several weddings coming up and they’ll probably get double wedding ring quilts.

I love these templates and Quilting from the Heartland. The templates came with a book that walked me through step by step. Even better the YouTube videos that I can watch again and again to be sure that I am doing things right!! I have only made 2 so far, but I am planning on making each of my nieces and nephews one as a wedding gift
