BDF NA05 Window Film Daytime Privacy and Sun Control Black (Very Dark) - 24in X 50ft

My bedroom is on the second floor and the large double window faces the rising sun; it gets unbearably hot unless I close the curtains. I used this one way film to tone down the light and heat without having the curtains drawn all day and still being able to see.There’s a little learning curve to working with this film, I did it solo but it would definitely be easier with two people. As long as you cut it slightly larger than each window and keep the window wet with soapy water you can reposition the film easily. The upper part of my windows were challenging with the curve, I just started from the bottom, flat part and worked my way up.I give myself a 90/100 on my first try. I didn’t cut the edges perfectly, there are a couple slight gaps of less than 1mm, but nothing that’s gonna make me buy more to try again. It’s only visible in the contrasting light, and doesn’t actually cast sunlight inside, it just doesn’t look the most professional. My fault completely and the error doesn’t detract from my rating of this product.The two photos with this review were taken at the same time of day, from the inside daylight is easily visible (but no blaring heat). From the outside you can’t see inside at all except for the very faint outline of the ceiling fan light which I left on. You still have to close your curtains at night for total privacy, but that doesn’t matter to me.The film came with a razor and a flat tool to smooth the bubbles, they worked fine. Prying the protective clear film off was by far the most difficult part, you definitely want to use the method mentioned in the directions of putting one piece of tape on each side and pulling in opposite directions. The first time it took me 10 minutes to open the first piece. Once I got the technique down it only took seconds.I’m very pleased with this one way mirror film, I’ll probably buy more to do the large window downstairs on the same side of the house.

We got this because the sun is always blaring itself into our dining room and it was becoming unbearable. This not only did the job - it cut my electric down and has fooled ALOT of people lol. Everytime someone looks out the front window they are like omg it's going to storm, meanwhile we have to tell them to open the front door (I have yet to put it on my storm door but it's on the to do list) It looks fantastic, was super easy to cut and put on. Piece of advice though, soak it!! And line up the top as best as you can with an overlap, this stuff when it starts to cling, it clings. It is easy to maneuver but it's easiest to just line it up. I will be buying a lot more to do all of my windows in my house. Also, it is fantastic at not being able to see in - at night obviously if you have light on inside people will see through so you still need curtains, but during the day, someone can be standing right at the window and you'll never see them.

I have tried many brands. I have come back to BDF to get the best success. This time I bought the roll (BDF NA05 Window Film Privacy and Sun Control N05, Black (Very Dark) - 36in X 100ft). I decided to protect all of my windows this time. The roll was easy to cut. Follow the directions and use a sharp knife or box cutter. This film is dark and has provided great protection against fading. I use it in a room with old photos and they have not faded (film has been on those windows for over 5 years). I get full sun, which is why I chose N05, but you can go back a level or two if you don't want it so dark. I am sure it will still stop the fading of carpet or pictures.

My first try was on a small window a bit hard to put. But for the following windows it was so much easier once you get the hang of it. You can clearly see and feel the difference.. currently doing all the windows in my house. One thing I didn’t like is that if it folds the smallest bit it will creat a sort of cracked line, it will be very small and hardly can be seen only if your very up close

I bought this tint for my double pane glass sliding door and it works well with heat control, glare, and privacy. I went with the NA05 (Very Dark) because the sun's intensity where I live in CA is quite strong. I was going to install tint in front of my kitchen sink but I decided not to because I still wanted natural daylight in my kitchen. It would just be too dark in my kitchen already with the sliding door tinted. Installation is quite simple. If you're installing tint in a larger window, you'll need another person to help with holding the tint in place while you align the tint and squeeze the solution out. The air bubbles, if installed correctly will eventually go away when the tint dries and cures from the sun.

The film is oh high quality and easy to use. As long as you clean your windows properly there should be no issues with the install.Keeps out heat and prying eyes during the daytime. Close your blinds at night obviously!

I can't, yet, tell you if it's saved much on electricity bit I can tell you a couple things. As you can see from the picture it definitely makes a difference. It's also fairly easy to install as long as you read directions and watch a video or two. I'll update the review when I know more.

I owned and ran a commercial & automotive window film shop in California for many years. I used this film on the back slider on a Silverado truck! Worked perfect!!

Great purchase, easy to apply, tools that's needed were included with the purchase. Awesome tint, looks great,you won't regret!!

It's very hard to get this product (or any others like it) on perfectly. It's almost 99% perfect when you get the hang of it. The corners are really hard.But everything else is great. It looks good, it's dark enough. Use lots of water.

Tardo un poco en llegar, sin embargo valió la pena. Midiendo bien, mucha agua con jabón y que además viene con accesorios para instalar, me fue fácil colocar, incluso dónde me equivoqué, se volvió a utilizar sin problema. Lo recomiendo al 100. Compraré los que me hacen falta.

This stuff works great! Everything you need besides a spray bottle and soap! Easy to do!
