Excellent Product
My dog is a medium sized dog (head high about 18 inches and a weight of 49 lbs) and she fits perfectly in this carriage. The carriage also has an add on kit, available as an extra, that changes it from a bike pull-behind into a baby stroller type carriage. It is made of excellent materials and was so easy to assemble. The wheels are quick disconnect and the carriage folds flat. The arm that connects to the bike does so on the "left side" (as you stand behind the back tire). This keeps it from interfering with your Shimino 3 speed unit and other 7 speed set-ups. The arm, also swings back when you fold up the carriage. It weighs about 15-20 pounds and is not very hard to carry and lift. The only thing that I would have changed is the "strap" that keeps the dog from jumping out. It comes from the bottom right side of the trailer, but when my dog turns, in the carriage, it binds her up. I will be drilling a hole in the upper support arm and relocating the strap, to the top, so that it will keep my dog from jumping out AND swivel as she turns in the carriage. The seller was super and the unit is excellent and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Also, it rolls very smoothly and the mat inside is comfortable for my dog. The only thing that I had to do was to order a second "bike attachment" because I have two bikes. This way I simple unclip it from one bike and move it to the other.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I'll be honest, when I bought this trailer I was expecting to be disappointed. However, I'm happy to say this product exceeded my expectations. It came well packaged and relatively damage free. I believe I received one that was returned at one point, there were a few scuffs and evidence of being previously assembled. But it was all cleaned up and the tires looked brand new.Assembly was pretty straightforward, it's good to have a picture of it available to aid in orientation of some parts. One of the valve stems on the tire tubes was bad, couldn't stop it leaking. Ran to the local bike shop and picked up 2 quality tubes for about $10. A very popular size, 20 x 1.75in, very common with child bikes. The actual trailer is very well built, sturdy metal (aluminum version) the fabric seems quite strong and durable. A few pockets on the outside for supplies, and you can choose what openings are covered, have a mesh screen or just left wide open. The bike attachment is dead simple and seems to work well. I'm not too big a fan of the fabric safety strap that latches on the bike. I feel like it could get caught up in the brake assembly if not carefully tightened. It rides nice behind the bike. Not much suspension, but the floor is is not very stiff, so that absorbs a fair amount impact. Both of my dogs love it! It took a good 30 mins to get them comfortable getting in and out, then we started with some slow rides walking the bike before actually hoping on and going for a real bike ride.My 80lb Golden Retriever is not too sure on the floor, I think something a bit more rigid would make her more comfortable, I may look into building a solid floor beneath the included plush bed. But once we get rolling she seems for forget about it and loves the ride.Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and my pups are too! Be prepared to possibly upgrade the tire tubes, but that's a cheap fix. Also this puts a fair amount of weight on your rear tire, make sure it is properly inflated and you should be good to go!

Great product with superb customer service
This is my second solvit houndabout stroller. The first one we purchased when we first adopted Maggie in 2008 and it was only a stroller and didn't convert to a bike trailer. We used that stroller all the time and loved it! Maggie has lots of orthopedic problems and has had ~12 surgeries (both hips replaced, two torn ACLs, luxating patellas in both knees, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia, and now valgus deviation in her rear digits which is a fancy way of saying her feet/toes are splaying and she can't walk on them well. So, to make a long story short, we use the stroller very often to get Maggie outside. The company had changed the design of the front wheel on the stroller from the first one we bought 8 years ago. We contacted them directly about the problems and they sent us a replacement front wheel. Unfortunately, we were still having some issues (the front wheel would wobble and shake the whole stroller). We just weren't able to fix it so it was stable. It only wobbled every so often, but still it was a little frustrating. The company told us they were going to go back to the original front wheel design and encouraged us to contact them again in a little while. After a month or so I did reach out to them. I wanted to see if we could purchase just the redesigned front wheel. They sent one to us for free! So the company sent us 2 front wheel replacements total (one of the old design that we still couldn't get to stop wobbling and one of the new redesign). I offered to send back the other ones since we didn't use them much and the company said it wasn't necessary. I have worked with this company a few times on replacement parts for the stroller and they are always so accommodating. I really appreciate their help because this is an expensive item. But I can tell you that we used our first one regularly for 8 years and it was still in great working condition. I really only swapped it out for a new one because we wanted to option to convert it to a bike trailer. This is a great product and will last the life of your pet. I love all the features (hand brake, big pockets, leash clip on the inside. wide handlebars), but the large wheels are the best by far. It's so much easier to push this with the large air tires. Strollers with small wheels don't handle nearly as well as this and are much harder to maneuver. I love everything about this product and it's been so helpful for our special-needs pet!

Exactly what I wanted
It was easy to assemble and was exactly what I expected. The vents in the front and sides and perfect to ensure air flow. I also love the adjustable clip so that the dog can sit but not be able to jump out.The pockets on the side and back make it easy to store bags, pet food and travel bowls.Pulls just like the ones designed for children. Very sturdy, just wish there was a second bar in front instead of a strap as I know over time the strap will fray. But easily replaceable.Very satisfied!

Quality product -easy to assemble
I hesitated to buy this because it is expensive but it was worth the money. The quality is 5*. I am NOT good at putting things together and this is almost pre-assembled. Instructions were straight forward and in a few minutes the tires are on and trailer was on my bike. Recommend using the harness on the dog and then attached the leash to hold the dog in the trailer for safety and training. I made mistake of just leasing my dog w her collar to the attcahed clip and she almost choked herself while I was biking trying to get out the carrier bc I didnt shorten the lead enough. I slowly took each dog (30 poung and 45 pound) on short trips with lots treats each time. The only thing I havent figured out is when I put the bike on its kickstand and get off to go around and let the dog out of the trailer almost everytime my bike tips over from the bouncing of the dogs getting out of the trailer. I have to have the bike leaned into something so this doesnt happen. Overall extremly happy with the trailer

Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen
Insgesamt gut verarbeitet, hab nur Bedenken wie lange die Reißverschlüsse halten. Die können stabiler sein.
