New BalanceWomen's 806 V1 Tennis Shoe

The first pair I ordered was a 7 1/2 D wide. I went up a size because I wanted to add my supportive orthotic insole. They were VERY wide and too big even with a sports orthotic insole. I sent them back and got a 7DD at a local wide foot store, after the salesperson measured my foot and told me I was a DD width. Not so. Tried to wear them with my orthotic and my heel slid all over the place. Tried cinching them down with a "runner's" tie, but they still wouldn't work on the court. I took them back and found out that the Wide Foot Store" doesn't carry a "D" (single wide width). Now I know why they sold me the DD.Aaagggghhhhh! Third time was the charm....these shoes are hard to find in women's 7D, so I tried again from Amazon Prime. This time they showed up in a couple days and are the perfect fit with my favorite orthotic. I love them so much I hate to take them off. Corrects my over-pronation. Gives me sure-footed stability and support on the court. No toe jam or inflamed bunion. I highly recommend to any woman who has foot and knee problems.FYI*** Just buy your regular size and add your favorite orthotic insert, since they come with a flimsy flat piece of nothing inside that removes easily. These shoes have a roomy toe box even in regular M.Expensive, but worth every penny in comfort and durability.

I ordered these in both 5.5 and 6 M, as those are my usual sizes in shoes. I have a pair of New Balance running shoes in a 6 M, and those are more narrow and short than it seems New Balance shoes for tennis. I had ordered another style of New Balance shoes for tennis before this, in a 6 M assuming they'd fit the same as my running shoes of the same brand, and found that New Balance for tennis ran both longer and wider in the toe area. These shoes fit well in Size 5.5 for me. They are wider than I'd like (I don't like loose shoes, and I'm somewhat afraid that being leather they'll widen over time), but they fit well now, comfortable right out of the box, and they seem very well made, have a lot of support, and are very classy-looking shoes.

These shoes are the worst. So when I first purchased these I really thought I bought the wrong size. The toes narrow like big time. I ended up with blisters and feet aching and throbbing, and I have a really weird high tolerance for pain. But anyway, I wore them to work where there's blood and I felt it would be unethical for me to return them. So I wore them as my "dirty job" shoes. They're also super thin, like stub your toe and it feels like you're just wearing socks thin. I got used to it though, still hurt like a mother at times.I decided to try another pair. I ordered a size up AND got wide. I do not have wide feet at all. I swear they sent me the same size. But again I wore them to work. Sure enough when I got home.they were the same size and code as the ones I purchased the first time. Nothing indicated wide. I ended up throwing them away. Not worth the blisters and pain.

I like the overall look of these sneakers and I had hoped that I had finally found one that met my needs. I liked that it had a pressure point for the bunions and heels. The bottom seemed cushiony enough but unfortunately the toe box was somewhat narrow for my one foot. Unfortunately, I will have to return. I was hoping there might be a wider (currently purchased extra wide) but those are going to be far and few even move so than the extra wide.

I bought for pickle ball because i love my old NB LEATHER court shoes but they were getting worn out. These are a bit more narrow in the toe but not uncomfortable and the support works well for the sport but my socks are always wet in the front part from sweat after i play. I have never had that happen when playing in my old leather NB court shoes or any other leather shoes. Shoes used to say leather upper and the rest man made. The last time i looked in store some of the shoes didn’t say anything about the material. So frustrating. These said 50/50 leather and synthetic and you would hope the leather would be in area of shoe to let your foot breath. Thumbs down to New Balance which i had trusted for years to go buy a leather shoe that you could count on for the same size and quality you bought last time.. I will be looking for another brand next time.

Bought the same shoes 5 times in a row as fit perfect for my long narrow foot!Love that this shoe comes in narrow width. This is the 5th time I’ve purchased them and will continue to buy this brand due to quality and availability in narrow 2A width. It would be nice if New Balance offered this exact shoe in a few other colours! Hopefully they read this review :)

I would return these shoes if I had not missed the return window due to being on vacation. I had no idea the fit on these would be so extremely different from my past purchases of this same style and other NB shoes I have purchased in this same size for years. The ones I received have a very substantial insole with a stiff insert underneath the regular insole which makes these way too small for comfortable wear. There's no way I'll be able to wear them.

I bought these for work. They are super comfortable and do exactly what they are supposed to. They do not slip on wet floors!

I loved everything about this shoe! Comfortable and beautiful! Only correction is having more eye holes to lace up higher.

I love the look of these shoes. I hoped they'd get better. I have to wear bandaids on the backs of my ankles because they just rub. 3 weeks in and they're not getting better. Pretty sad to have wasted this much money.
