I needed something to target the tendinitis in my left hand, as cold pacs are difficult to wrap around ones thumb/wrist area.Thought this would do the trick, but nope.On the plus side, it fits pretty ingeniously, and seems well made. The box it came in was pretty fancy and probably accounted for a good percentage of cost of manufacturing.Most importantly however is that it would not stay cold for more than 5 or 6 minutes. By 10 it is easily body temperature. The description strongly implies if not outright puts forth that it will stay cold for 20 minutes, and that is completely false.You need 15 to 20 minutes of cold (and no more) to get any therapeutic benefit. I should have known, as there is very little gel to freeze in the first place. My understanding of basic physics should have steered me clear. Well I know now, and back it goes.

very disappointed with this. It is way over priced for what it is. In order to heat it up you have to put it in water then microwave it. So when you strap it on it soaked. And the heat dissipates to quick. Have to heat it up several times during the therapy session. My fiance wears it for her thumb..says it works ok but.. the heat zone is either to hot..or not hot enough. When it is right...it lasts a few min. Icing with it has not been done yet but I'd say it is probably more suitable for that rather than heat.

I really liked these ice packs and they helped my arthritic hands. But they started to leak in the first month. I messaged the vendor and they said they would replace my broken ones and to put the new ones in the fridge first before freezing to prevent breakage. I never received replacements.

Seemed like a great idea but the size and thickness of the cold pack cause it to lose its frozen quality quickly. Since it was kind of pricey, I sent back for a refund.

My only complaint is that it does not stay cold long enough. By the time the cold starts to do its magic, the thinness of the ice pack itself seems to allow body heat to thaw pack & it is not cold for long enough. I still use it though, because the design is really great.

I should have listened to some of the negative reviews. I like the shape of it, it fits the right area for my De Quervain's tendinitis ,but it's only cold for 5 min or so. I think it's due to all the small partitions the gel is divided into. Not worth the price.

It feels good as a brace very comfortable. It doesn’t stay hot or cold as long as I would like but it still seems to do the job. i use it for trigger thumb arthritis. I would buy it again.
