The Swim Buddy "Touring" model is a 4th generation high quality, durable, brightly coloured personal swim buoy used by safety-conscious open water swimmers to maximize visibility and monitoring while in open water. It floats behind you on a short tether while swimming, without perceptible drag, without affecting swim strokes or swim kick. It can store small items inside the dry bag part of it such as your keys, cell phone, shirt, etc. so they are with you while you swim. If necessary, it can easily keep a 250lb person afloat.

NEVER SWIM ALONE
One of THE BEST purchases I've made.Full disclosure: I made the purchase so that I could carry my GoPro while lake or ocean swimming. It KIND OF works for that purpose but the ability to have people site off me and have a flotation device around when swimming in a group (weaker swimmers love My Swim BUDDY!). I may kick it once or twice but nothing distracting or impeding during a swim.GoPro Rig: Being that I bought this to pull around my camera and capture awesome photos (IT FLOPS OVER) The camera is underwater until you pull the tether. It wasn't made for it but I still get great shots.I'm 215lb and it holds me up.Keeps keys wallet and phone DRY! (I still put them in a ziplock just incase)It's BRIGHT!!! Even in fog I can be seen.Swimming alone is a BAD IDEA!!! I recommend swimming with a BUDDY.

I do a lot of solo snorkeling and this gives me a lot of peace of mind as well as increased visibility for water sports around me. Highly recommended

Absolutely love this for open water swims
Absolutely love this for open water swims. I live in Miami, and any shoes, phones, keys, etc. left on the beach will get stolen. Our beaches also have a fair amount of boat traffic. This way, I can bike to the beach and swim on my own with very little planning. Every once and a while I'll tap it with my foot or leg (especially when swimming with a current), but generally I forget that it's even there while swimming.

This swim float is great.
This swim float is great. I used it almost immediately after receiving it. Very durable construction, super thick storage bag and easily inflates. Shipping was very fast as well. I think it was only 3 days after I ordered that it arrived.

I have to get used to having this trailing so close behind me that I hit it with my fit. The sense of security of being seen in the water is invaluable.
